Worst. Thai. Restaurant. Ever. I wish I had listened to the multitude of reviews on here saying the service at Yummy Thai was bad. The service was, in fact, truly appalling. It's as if the waiter had no clue what his job was. The place was almost empty when we came in, yet we waited about fifteen minutes to have our order taken, and a couple who came in after us were served first. We had to flag the server down to give him our rice order--since he hadn't bothered to ask what type we wanted--weren't given enough flatware with our food, and then waited with dirty dishes in front of us for about 15 minutes before the server returned to take them, and even then, he seemed uncertain whether we were done, despite all signs to the contrary.
The food was bland and uninteresting. The tofu and cashew sautee was a bland, soy-sauce-based dish, not at all Thai in flavoring but more like a bland Chinese stir fry. The one thing they did right was cook the squid properly, but the massuman curry sauce had an aftertaste of rancid peanuts. They serve inexpensive cocktails made with sake--no hard liquor--and my lychee sake martini tasted like lukewarm fruit juice with a tiny spike of alcohol. It clearly had not been shaken.
In short, there is absolutely nothing that would make me go back to Not-At-All-Yummy Thai, and I recommend you stay away, unless you favor bland food and don't mind waiting around at every step...
Read moreSo I put 5 stars so people would read this and since the restaurant continually misleads me why not pass it on? I have been a patron for YEARS and for a long time had no problems. Delivery was prompt and delicious and the staff were great. I am thinking they changed management and cleaned house staff wise. I have not ONCE in the past few months received my order prepared correctly. Since I thought maybe it was phone miscommunication I began to order on seamless where you can write in your instructions (mine are always the same no be pepper or pineapple never changes I'm pretty unadventurous with variety). Still I do not get the correct food. So I start writing in caps lock (maybe they didn't notice it the font is small etc.. figured it may solve the issue) NOPE. Not to mention I always write thank you and tip well. The only redeeming thing is that since I call and have records of what I ordered thanks to seamless, they replace or give credit. The problem is, I order dinner when I do because is convenient and timely. They turn it into a two hour process where I either have to wait to order next time or sit for the same amount of time it would take me to cook myself. Idk why I keep giving them chances. DONT ORDER FOR DELIVERY. At least at the restaurant you can send it...
Read moreI visited yummy on more than one occasion and found the food to be good . On one night I complained of the odor of the fish ( salmon) which instantly made me upset . I told the supervisor / cashier about it as the meal was brought to me and I lifted the first piece with the fork. He would then look to me and said he was not going to take back the meal nor give refund because other customers did not complain about it . I explained that it’s not my first time and I will usually give high ratings to their , so if I complained one time then it should be dealt with . He said to me that he will not be responsible and he will not pay for my food if I do not want it in a very harsh manner . So I said I’d like my bill to see what can be done with my bank . I asked to speak to the manager in which he denied but after I insisted , he called someone on the phone and spoke in Spanish for most of the conversation. Then said you can go ahead and call your bank if you want , no refund . How can you tell me that the odor of the fish didn’t make me feel to puke because another bought earlier and didn’t complain . He was extremely rude as well ....
