Guadalupe Restaurant — Restaurant in New York

I think the night I decided to go and try this place out should have been the best after hearing all the talk and how busy it usually is and the long waits ppl do to eat here. Well I think that would have been better than actually being greeted nicely from the hostess sat right away and only feet from her where she had a clear view of the table and the type of service we was provided well not sure if you can call it that, hmm 🤔 yes no service what so ever. I wasted just over an hour of my precious life sitting down eating the nachos they give you washing it down with guess what the tap water also provided by them. The waiter came to our table took our order after waiting for 20 minutes after being sat down offered samples of sangria which we never received we had to be rude to the waiter after the 45 minutes demanded to be given a pitcher of simple sangria and even that took a bit long by this time no appetizers had been served so we had to ask another waiter which by then was already the hour we finally had decided it was too ridiculous the waiter was too busy with other tables and with the hostess. Reminder it was a perfect night to have the best service it wasn't busy at all by this time the appetizers were being brought to the table turned them down and 5 minutes later the food was coming out yes turned that back also and we had asked for the manager by then which he didn't understand why it took for ever he even said it wasn't busy well just a note there were other tables that got there after us and they had finished eating & drinking. Not once received an apology from the waiter & the manager was ok but didn't do much other than give us the bill and the change for the sangria. Mc Donalds wich is across the street gave me better service just they slacked on one thing...

We drove all the way from Queens, ,❤️ the way the restaurant looks, in the middle of nowhere, closed to a golf country club.

My mother who had been here before, had recommended this place and we decided to eat in, at first the waiter seems to have a attitude🤬 look like (he) the waiter, a older man appear to be bother when asked questions about the menu🤨, I had to intervene and try not to spoil our mood🤠 the place was not full had plenty of empty tables, anyways the waiter should remember not everyone is familiar with Mexican food or dish, and not everyone is from the local area but other staff members who waited on us the young man's and woman made it a more pleasant🎉 experience🙏🤫.

We had the avocado nachos salad that was made on site🤔♥️, The enchiladas and steak was very good and the drinks frozen 2 margaritas mango & strawberry 🥰🪅🎊🎇😱😁, a small bottle of coke and 1 mojito 😁🤫🙏 were definitely good, my little boy had apple juice with a small side other so for 3 adults and one child the bill was over $200+ 😱

I was a little surprised but again for the first time being in this restaurant and the area it wasn't bad except the over price $$$.

I would visit again if the price is right🤫🤔 just make sure you know what your ordering and the drinks, I been to other (Latin American) & Mexican restaurants like in upper Manhattan and the prices are reasonable, the amount of food very satisfying , in other words I can feed 3people + 1 child comfortably with the same type of menu without breaking the bank.

We had high hopes for this restaurant after driving all the way from New Jersey based on a glowing recommendation, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. My girlfriend and I were excited to try the food and enjoy what we had heard was a great atmosphere. However, the service completely ruined the evening.

Our server, Joan, was inattentive and unresponsive to our needs throughout the meal. Despite our efforts to get their attention, it felt like we were an afterthought. At one point, I kindly asked Joan to repeat something because the music was quite loud, and instead of a courteous response, I was met with a rude and dismissive reply. It was unnecessary and left a sour taste in our mouths.

We came here expecting an enjoyable dining experience, but the lack of basic courtesy and attentiveness from the staff, particularly Joan, overshadowed the food and ambiance. It’s such a shame to see great potential wasted by poor service. Sadly, this is not a place we’ll be returning to or recommending to others.

I appreciate the reply and concern for my experience but, to be transparent I did leave the servers name in my initial review ( Joan .R). Furthermore knowing who I am, what I ate and when I visited is information that shouldn’t be relative to the service I experienced. Every patron should have a good dining experience.

If you really want to make it right, instead of asking me things that will profile me, train that gentleman better so people have a better experience. You don’t want this type of server to represent your...
