After a fantastic walk that left us famished, we stumbled upon Inwood Bar and Grill—a spot highly recommended by my partner’s coworkers. They wasted no time in seating us, and it turns out Sundays here are all about brunch. They made sure we were up for brunch before finding us a table. Two brunch options were on offer: one for $19.95 and the other for $39.95, which includes booze. Since we’re not drinkers, our meal came with a choice of soda or a killer pineapple or passion fruit drink. Trust me, the latter was mind-blowing! The $19.95 deal hooked us up with an app, soup or salad, a hearty main course, and a sweet treat.
I went with the classic Caesar salad, followed by salmon and yuca fries. Gotta say, those yuca fries were something else—absolutely delish! The salmon was a tad dry, but it didn’t ruin the party. My partner enjoyed a plate of penne alfredo with juicy shrimp. Oh, and I sneaked a couple of bites of that alfredo, and damn, it was pure delight on my taste buds.
Surprise, surprise! We didn’t even know dessert was included, but like a book I can’t put down, I couldn’t resist digging into it. They brought out this amazing flan, and boy, was it good! My partner couldn’t finish theirs, so you can bet I’m snagging that for tomorrow’s little treat.
Now, let me give you the scoop on a few highlights. The folks working here are beyond friendly—like next-level kindness. Table bussing is on point, so if you hesitate for a second, your plate might disappear before you can blink. The vibe is casual, with people rocking their comfy outfits. And hey, there’s even a security guard in the back, probably keeping an eye on a neighboring hotspot. We showed up in our workout gear, but next time, we’ll be ready to party!
All things considered, I’m giving Inwood Bar and Grill a solid four stars. We had a blast, the food was tasty, and the crew was top-notch. If only they could dial down the dryness of the salmon, this place would be a...
Read moreFirst I would like to start of how great service was. Our server was sweet, patient and also gave us insightful recommendations. She respected our space and time and was excellent!I regret not taking her name, we sat downstairs in a more relaxed vibe. We got our order in and ordered our drinks. I always drink my whiskey (Jameson) neat! I know my preferred drink very well and can tell when I ve been given another imposter. I called her over and she showed me that in her hand held device that she in fact ordered it (Jameson). She went back up to the bar and when she came back of course they were gonna say they gave me Jameson. I knew they gave me some cheaper whiskey which was not smooth and way darker in color. I nearly cringed to the taste! Ewwww! Everyone who drinks Jameson knows it's extremely smooth! Now I know why some of my friends makes sure to visit the bar before settling into their tables to make sure their is more than one bottle of their preferred top shelf drinks. Its very deceptive to pay top shelf price when given low grade liquor. There are loyal customers as well as loyal brand drinkers. This is deceptive practice that is seen not only here at this establishment but in others as well. Pre-game for me and a visit to the bar a must! Nonetheless our experience was excellent with food...calamari was meaty and fresh, sauce a bit different, not plain marinara, I enjoyed the fresh squeeze lemon on the side. Wings were a go! I must add that our waitress was very accomodating and willing to change my drink for another option, I still stood with my drink and afterwards ordered Macallan and it was as is. Will revisit for sure with my guards up on the liquor.
*I must add that a review with one star, 7mths ago, also had the same experience with their drink. Couldn't read into more but I'm pretty sure there are more same experiences out there! Please stop this practice, you guys would be better if you...
Read moreLet me start by saying that this is one of my all time favorite places to come with my family and with my friends. Today for the first time ever I wanted to NEVER step foot in this place due to a RUDE, heartless, unfriendly hostess I have ever seen. We had reservations for a party of 12, my mom and niece were escorted to the downstairs level while the rest of the party searched for parking. When we all come down we find my mother and niece standing next to the bar height table because my elderly mother was unable to sit on it. She told me that the hostess who goes by Maria by the way rudely told her that this is the table weather she could sit or not and left her there. When I approached her and in the nicest way possible told her the situation that my mother cannot climb the bar stool to sit she just told me there is nothing I can do for you this is your table and there is NO rearranging!! We are at full capacity!! There were obviously empty spaces and her staff were trying to explain to her how they can accommodate us at a table that sat 11. We were 12 because of a 4 year old who would have been fine.. they even told her we can take a 2 seat table right next to the 11 seat table and she said Absolutely NOT! After back and forth for over an hour I’m not sure if it was the manager, but a man came and nicely told us not to worry that he will accommodate and just had the staff move 3 tables and bring seats and sat our whole party down. He did this in less than 5 minutes when Maria the hostess would refuse every option the staff would give her. Let me point out we were there for a couple of hours after and neither the table we were originally assigned nor the other option tables were ever occupied by any other party 😡
Our waiter Eddie and the gentleman that accomadated us saved our experience and because of them we were able to celebrate and enjoy our time...
