Unfortunately we had a really subpar experience for how hyped up this place was. We were a table of 5 and 2 of our drinks didn't come out until we flagged down what seemed to be the only waitress to ask about the missing drinks. She was so kind and immediately grabbed them for us. But then the entire table got their meals except my burger didn't come out. The wait was so long that the rest of my group had finished their meals by the time mine came out and again we had to ask the waitress about the food before it came. The food itself wasn't flavorful which was quite disappointing. We also had to wait a long time for someone to come get our check to the point that we ended up walking it over to the hostess. Read moreI was strolling through the neighborhood yesterday with my friend and my dog when we decided to stop at Yves Restaurant. We chose to sit outside because of the dog, and I can’t rave enough about how friendly and accommodating the staff was. A special shoutout to Marcus, who went above and beyond! Just then, I realized I had a conflict, so I got up to leave but felt badly that they just poured an 8 oz glass of sparking. I gave them a $20 and said “just give me $15”, thinking that paying $5 was probably generous to a fault, but whatever.
After waiting for 15 minutes for the manager — yes, the manager — to magically convert my $20 into change from the back, he looked at me and said “it’s $9”.
I sat for 60 seconds and life sometimes happens and you get pulled away. A classier place would have said “don’t worry about it”. I have lived around the corner for three years, but for whatever reason, I had never tried the place.
I hate it when I try new things and this sort of...
