As a first-gen Latino college student with big dreams and real-world responsibilities, BMCC met me where I was — and then pushed me further. The professors? Supportive. The advisors? Actually helpful. The energy? Diverse, ambitious, and alive.

I’m studying Computer Network Technology, and from the very beginning, I felt like I wasn’t just another number. The staff here treat you like you matter — because you do. They understand that students come from all walks of life: working parents, part-timers, dreamers, immigrants — and they work with you, not against you.

The financial aid office was a huge help, and I’ve always felt like they wanted me to succeed, not just pass. And let’s talk about the downtown Manhattan location — there’s something special about walking to class with the skyline around you. You feel like you’re in the heart of the city and your own story.

BMCC has given me the tools, the foundation, and the confidence to keep going — to eventually earn my bachelor’s, and then my master’s. Maybe even that PhD one day.

To anyone wondering if a community college can be that good: BMCC isn’t just a school — it’s a launchpad. And if you show up ready to grow, this place will meet you halfway and walk with you...

It’s probably one of the best screen and audio systems to watch movies in NY. Unfortunately it’s usually during TriBeCa film festival and prices are ridiculous. Check it out once for a showing that you really care about. But nothing else really. Also, the exit doors at the top are directly connected to the outdoors. So if someone leaves half way through the film, sun light will flood the room and on a sunny day if you are seating nearby those doors you will be blinded for a...

Tribeca film festival review. 5 stars for actual arts center. Good audio and comfortable seating for decent viewing even at the extreme upper corners. 1 star off for the management of crowds. We waited 2+ hours along the side of the building. At one point it started raining, cold rain. By the time we were allowed to enter, one of the elderly women passed out. We had tickets with assigned seats and could have just entered earlier. I believe this could have been...

March of 2023 was my first time visiting Tribeca Performing Arts Center. It was surprisingly open and comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed the performance and the gathering spaces outside the theater were lovely as well. I also appreciated the convenience of getting to this location from the Oculus in downtown. I would look for future performances at this theater due to its convenience of location and comfort!

New York City. Here's a short poem inspired by this iconic location: Concrete jungle's heart beats strong At Tribeca, where art belongs Ballet, opera, music fill the air A hub of creativity, beyond compare In the city that never sleeps, this shines A gem of refinement, where beauty aligns Trubeca splendor, a treasure rare A New York City icon, beyond compare
