AKIHI Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Newark

Horrible customer service! I visit Akihi every week, however, I would never support this business again. I arrived before a business meeting, as soon as I opened the door, there was an unpleasant smell. I ordered brown sugar milk tea ice cream and about 10 minutes later, I was told they didn’t have it, and asked if it was okay to change it to milk tea flavor. I said sure, then another 10 minutes later, I was told their ice cream machine was not working. I was refunded. Wasted 20 minutes of my life. If they had made it right, I will continue to give them my business, but this time...

I love Akihi it’s my obsession to the point where I make it a point to try and go here every week and the same order (crispy chicken and crème brûlée brown sugar boba milk tea). The reason for three stars is that they have downsized their boba balls and made them way smaller( smaller than a marble) which normally their boba balls are at least the size of a marble. They also don’t give as much boba without charging extra as any other shop would give. I hope these small boba balls aren’t permanent I’m...

Why did this unfortunate place have to replace Toki Toki? All they have available are beverages and desserts. It would have been nice to order takoyaki from their "snacks" section, but everything on the snack menu is "sold out." It's just a cutesy, white-washed wannabe bubble tea place targeting college students and, primarily, the female demographic, and fails across the board...or maybe I'm just hangry...I'm willing to admit...
