Carl's Jr. — Restaurant in Newark

This place is horrible and the manager is a real piece of work. The app let me order a burger at about 10:55 PM… Pulled into the drive-thru and they turned off the lights on me and I could hear people whispering as I sat there.

Then they just closed at 11 PM. Their signage says they close At 11:45 PM as does the app. Paid for my burger and I was just sitting there… Wow

Came in the next day expecting some sort of response that implied it wasn't my fault. Jose Miranda… Said he was the manager…treated me like I should've known better even though the sign on his own damn door says they are open later.

Never apologized… Never even addressed the issue that the app and his store are screwed up and messing with people after 11 PM.

Never even smiled… Just looked at me like I was offensive for even coming in.

Carl's Jr. needs to do better and get rid of that petty man that doesn't know about customer service.

And the burger was passable but not good and...

On March 6th at ~2pm ate a few bites of a "Big Carl" at this location. The burger was disgusting. The burger was wet, soaked in red juices and tasted off. I threw the rest of it away, 2 hours later when I got home I was feeling ill. At 5pm I was vomiting profusely. At 6 I was throwing up stomach acid, followed by orange/red mucus colored vomit. By 6:30pm I was having chills and was short in breath and confused. By 8 or so was on my way to the ER. Diagnosed with food poisoning. 24 hours later recovered (somewhat) but with a slight fever. I will NEVER eat at this location and advise anyone considering going...

One of my go to spots but holy cow 7/27/24 the new LED menu at drive through is BLINDING and the AI drive thru voice just does not work.

Had to call a human and we had a fun chat on the blinding menu. 😂

Hitting them with a one star in hopes they would listen to that man who has been telling them it’s too bright. 10:45pm and you’re just blinded and also stuck there cause the AI sucks.

I got a Dave’s classic but wanted a double and it just didn’t...
