Chinatown Diner has the highest quality and most delicious Chinese food in the Newark area at an unbeatable price. Located inside the YMCA building in Newark, Chinatown Diner is my favorite go-to spot for Chinese food. The General Tso Chicken is perfectly juicy and tasty. Alternatively, if you’re feeling adventurous and want some real spice, I would also recommend the Pepper Chicken. Thank you Chinatown Diner for always serving the freshest and tastiest Chinese food in Newark to fulfill my appetite.

4.3 Rating Hooww??? I've Never been so dissapointed and dissatisfied with food in a long time! Ordered just over $70 worth of food here. Everything looked beautiful and bright. However, the Sesame chicken, Wings and Water were the only things that tasted good and worth eating. Everything else was so BLAND, no tatse/seasoning at all. The soup base tasted like hot water, they didn't give enough soy sauce to make a difference.

Some of the best American Chinese food I've ever had. Me and my partner got seconds because it was so good we needed more than one dish. Highly recommend. Wendy was so sweet and nice, even showed me pictures of food I was curious about, and got to know me and my partner. We will be back :》 Food specific recommendations: 2×Kung Pao chicken Pork fried rice 1×Orange chicken White rice 1×Cheese wonton 2× Homemade sweet tea

My first time here. I ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce with white rice lunch combination. it didn’t come with anything but what is pictured. I don’t know what the combination is meant for? The rice was super hot and fresh. The shrimp were extra large and the food was nice, but I found it to be a little bland. Otherwise, I was happy that I had a very hot freshly made lunch. I did find it to be a little pricey. Other places, you would get a soda, egg roll or soup or something as a combination, but not here. But the gentleman taking care of me was very nice. it was a hot day and my complaint was that this place was very...

Was surprised to find that this place was in a YMCA and it looked like any other Chinese food spot, more seating then most in NY. And on a Sunday afternoon it was empty which made me wonder if the food was any good. Let me tell you it's pretty damn good. Only thing I'll say is Quality over quantity. The portions are on smaller size but the rice tasted fresh and the sauce was on point. I had the pork fried rice with chicken wing in garlic sauce, my husband had french fries with wings in general tso sauce and my son house special lo mein. Everything tasted really good. Definitely ganna have...

We ordered some stuff to go here and it was a mixed bag. Pork dumplings were sort of hard on the inside and tasted more like a hot dog than a pork dumpling. The fried shrimp were mostly breading and they'd been flattened out in a way but they just weren't good. They weren't made recently either. They must pre-make them then refry them or they're frozen previously. The garlic chicken was pretty good and the shrimp lo mein was also very good. So I would go back for the noodles but not the fried shrimp...
