Method Cafe — Restaurant in Newark

I love the atmosphere here. It has good music, a lot of natural light, cool people, and a lot of beautiful plants. I do not even drink coffee, but I hear it’s amazing. So, imagine my love for this place IF I did drink coffee. It is a great place to hang out and play board games (chess, mancala, etc.), read books (they have some amazing books here too – philosophy, history, and business), do work, or go on a coffee/lunch date. I sometimes do work in here for HOURS until I get hungry, and then I order a smoothie. Also, they hold events like open chess and open mic nights. I just started playing chess every Saturday here. I have never really played chess before, but everyone was welcoming and accommodating of my beginner status. Some people that come here also climb in the gym downstairs (go the doors on the left to the golden elevators!). DO NOT THINK that you if you are not a “climber” or member at the gym that you will be excluded. I stopped by on a friend’s recommendation and I’m so glad I did. The cappuccino I ordered was made perfectly, with creamy foam and rich espresso. The barista even did a little heart design, which made my morning. The place has such a welcoming vibe that I ended up staying longer than I planned. People here are friendly, both staff and customers. It feels like a real community spot where people know each other. The music was at just the right volume — enough to enjoy but not distracting. What a cozy place to eat, work, study, or just relax! I went in the morning here since I was craving a good latte. I ordered an iced latte which was very yummy! This place has lots of seating and is connected to a fitness gym (climbing) where you can do day passes even, I thought that was awesome. The staff is very friendly and the menu had a good variety of coffees, teas, and snacks. I recommend the macaroons, super delicious! I would be back here if I was in the area again.
