Absolutely awful. Ordered the chicken cordon bleu, and it came out half raw. RAW CHICKEN. One side of it looked like they hadn't even tried to cook it (and the cheese was still solid), and it was drowning in sauce. Told a waiter that it was raw, and he gave us a weird look, looked confused, and said they'd make a "new one in 5-6 minutes". First of all, a brand new one of that thickness would take far longer than 5 minutes to cook, and second of all, they just reheated amd replated the same food (with the slice I cut off placed back on top). Even cooked properly, it wasn't good. The frozen chicken cordon bleu from Barber Foods is better. Whatever, we just wanted to hurry up and leave.
They also served what looked like house-made potato chips as an appetizer, which might've been a unique feature if the chips hadn't been soggy.
But things got worse when we got the bill. After being charged, we noticed that an extra $4 had been added, as well as a "suggested tip" of 20%, with another line for "additional tip". The total charged amount included the "suggested tip", making it a mandatory tip instead of a recommendation. This is for two people by the way, not a party of six. Called the manager over, he explained that the $4 was their credit card fee - this wasn't stated anywhere beforehand. Then, he tried to claim the suggested tip amount hadn't really been charged to the card yet: a flat out lie, considering we could see in the bank app that it HAD been charged. Next, he tried to claim that they charged the suggested tip but would refund the total afterward to be whatever we wrote on tip line... we pointed out that the receipt line said ADDITIONAL tip, not total tip. He stared blankly at the additional tip line and said "I've never seen that before". Brother, you're a manager and have no idea what your receipts look like?? Huh?? No, if we wrote something on the additional tip line, I am 100% certain that it would've been added on top of what we'd already paid. Then, he got frustrated with us and said "You know what, I'll just refund this and do it myself, I pay my employees". Uh, if you actually paid your employees, you would give them a liveable wage instead of relying on tips to do it for you. To be clear, we weren't arguing that the staff didn't deserve tips, but arguing that it's scammy and dishonest to charge a "suggested" tip and then ask for more on top of that, when the customer is going to assume that the bill didn't automatically include a tip (y'know, like how every other restaurant operates).
Dishonest business practices abound. Wonder how many people they've scammed into double-tipping using...

Read moreWe had tickets to a show at NJ PAC at 7pm. The fact that this restaurant is located inside a hotel made it difficult to find, so my daughter and I kept passing it on a scorcher of a day. Finally found it, went in and sat down about 5:25pm. The place had 3-4 booked tables and the place was quiet. A few minutes later my friends came in. The server was nice, he brought menus then left. Did not return for about 10-15 minutes. We ordered wine, and our meals. Another 10 minutes for the wine to arrive. We get to chatting, and the place starts to fill up. At some point, we've been seated for about 25-30 minutes now, with no check in from our server, and we start to notice the folks that arrived after us are getting their meals. It happens a few more times, but we cannot locate our server. We flag down another server and ask if she knows where ours is and what's happening with our food. Patrons are now done with their food, paying their bills and leaving - and we still have no food. I see him cleaning or something in the back, she talks to him, he looks at our table, then continues tidying. A few minutes later, he finally comes over, and I say "It's been 45 minutes, other patrons that came in after us are now finished with their food. Where is our food?" He says he'll go check. It is now 6:17pm. Comes back and tells us the ticket machine didn't work and that the kitchen will make our food. I say "wait...NOW?" he says yes, but it will be another 15-20 minutes. But that the salad is ready. We are agog. I say no, forget it. He says ok, I'll bring the bill. WHAAAAAT??? No. I selected one star because there's no option for NEGATIVE stars. The food trucks outside the venue had better, faster service and there was a little area with live music...
