If I could give it zero stars, I would. Worst Chinese food I've ever had, and I eat Chinese about twice a week. Couldn't even eat my meal, threw it away after a few bites. Their fried food all tastes like dirty oil and is extremely greasy. The sweet and sour "shrimp" were dime sized bits of dry shrimp wrapped with tons of overcooked, slimy breading. The "house special fried rice" was off the shelf yellow rice with precooked diced ham and frozen veggies mixed in. The spring roll tasted like rotten seafood. The restaurant also forgot three shrimp rolls and did not care that the order was wrong. If you want Chinese, any other place in Newark is better than this. I was excited to try a new place, but I would never order from here again.

All I can say is Awesome! As I have been eating here for the past 15 years. Wow, I guess I'm also dating myself. Anyway, the food has always been good and always healthy. The owners are very proud people and over the years I have seen their children grow up and now they also assist in the family business. All I can say is keep up the great work. Well let me get going to finish up my lunch and also enjoy that fantastic sweet tea. Thank you for being a part of Newark Delaware's Community.

absolutely wonderful food! i particularly enjoyed the happy family, which is a mix of chicken, shrimp, beef, mushroom and corn, as well as the house lo mein! the staff is friendly and welcoming too! the location is perfect with ample parking, and is in proximity to many things, making it highly accessible and convenient. i can’t wait to dine here more and make this my regular chinese take out!

I want to start by saying I love this place- it’s a family favorite in my house. Today’s experience has gone above and beyond. I am so thankful and appreciative of the service that I was given today. I wasn’t feeling too well today and slacked on ordering dinner for the family. We decided on Chinese at 9pm. Knowing they closed at 9:30pm I gave it a shot and called. They said they would gladly be able to make our meal but asked if we could be there by the time that they close at 9:30. Living only 5 mins down the road I assured them I would be there in time. Little did I know we would get into a car accident. After calling 911, I called to make them aware of the situation. They offered to hang around until 10pm. As we waited for the cop to finish, it was about 5 til, so I called the restaurant to pay over the phone and asked if they could just set the food outside for us because I didn’t want them to have to wait any longer. As we pulled up there at 10:05pm, they were waiting outside for us and immediately asked if we were okay. I apologized and thanked them for checking in and waiting for us. I wanted everyone to know how great they were. Getting back in the car I began to get teary eyed because I couldn’t believe how kind they were and how the first thing they asked is if we were all okay.

They will forever have my business!

Thank you guys again so much for your...

Stopped ordering chinese food on campus due to the food being so much lower quality here than anywhere else. Its like everything is injected with a bunch of sugar - for example, the general chicken is dressed in a thick red goo that taste like glazed chicken.

When it comes to customer service, I received the wrong item the last two times I ordered here. When you call, you literallly can't understand them and they make no attempt to redeem themselves. After the second time, I got fed up and complained about getting the wrong food again. They offered me 10% off next purchase if I just keep the food.

Honestly, I have a hard time believing there is a worse chinese food place out there. Even a cover-up, money laundering restaurant run the triads would have better food.

In conclusion, don't waste your time and money. This city would be better off if this franchise...

If you’re looking for the gold standard of crispy tofu, look no further than No. 1 China. Their tofu is everything you want it to be: perfectly golden on the outside, with a satisfying crunch that gives way to a tender, flavorful center. The sauce clings to each piece just right—bold, savory, and slightly sweet without overpowering the tofu’s natural texture.

What impressed me most is consistency: every bite is crisp, not soggy, and the portions are generous. Paired with fresh broccoli and fluffy rice, it’s a balanced dish that feels both hearty and clean. I’ve had tofu from countless places, but this version stands out as the kind you crave again and again.

No. 1 China proves that tofu and vegan food can be a star on its own. Absolutely worth a visit if you’re a tofu lover—or even if you...
