Food is what you expect at a raising canes. Fresh if they mange to call your actual name out (which they didn’t). There was a line out the door and the girl at the register was more concerned about having some side conversation laughing and giggling with someone back in the kitchen. Once we could actually order after staring at her for about 1 full minute we gave her the name for the order. We waited and waited and waited. We asked the manager who was standing around doing nothing how long it would be..”2-3 min” we waited another 10. I finally went up to ask about it and she said there was no order with that name. Turns out our order was some random order they called out 20 minutes before that wasn’t the name we gave them. My mom was coming out of the bathroom before we left and couldn’t open the door cause the manager who I’m assuming hired all of these people was standing there in the corner on his phone. Blissfully unaware that he’s running a restaurant with 1 single item on the menu yet his employees can’t even get a persons name right. They’ll survive because it’s the flagship location in Delaware and has the name recognition to bring in business. They could be on another level with manager who doesn’t run this place like a 3 year old runs a fake kitchen out of...
Read moreSo I moved here from Texas, I know raising canes and I know it well. You won’t be disappointed. I truly believe they’re new to this and they’re learning. The dining area I agree with other reviewers, The set up is odd and a little off putting. There is a long wait, because it’s so busy. But it’s worth the wait. I do think they need to leave the chicken in the fryer a little longer, the first time I went it was a little soggy, but cooked through and still delicious. Second time it was a little less busy and it was cooked a little longer. I think when it’s still a little soggy they’re just so busy they’re in panic mode trying to get the food out. My first visit was a good 30 min wait after ordering but they were slammed. The second time, around 710 pm on a Monday night, it was still busy but our food took about 10 mins. Which, no complaints, canes is always worth the wait.
They’re getting there, it’s just still so new. But the food tastes like raising canes and is absolutely amazing and the employees are friendly and work very hard to accommodate everyone. I think soon this place will be In tip top shape.
I want to add I don’t think anyone was warranted giving them a 1 or 2 star review. Unless they’ve just never had...
Read moreWow Canes is truly overrated. Maybe I got a bad batch, but the chicken strips are very VERY bland. Cooked properly, not overdone or under, but the batter tastes like flower, no spices, nothing. The Texas toast was cooked only on one side and had absolutely no flavor; maybe a hint of butter. But I was expecting garlic, salt maybe be some paprika. The dipping sauce just okay, reminds me of old bay seasoning, obviously made out of mayonnaise and ketchup. The fries were a thin crinkle cut well cooked but obviously cooked in the same oil as the chicken so you loose the potato flavor and instead get a slight raw chicken taste; once again salt or seasonings is nowhere to be seen or tasted. The worst part of this all is the styrofoam box they give you. There is nothing like knowing you freshly fried chicken tenders get put right on to styrofoam causing the styrofoam to melt and those chemicals getting leached into the chicken. Come in give paper boxes, get with the times.Maybe I had a bad batch so I will try again but for $12, I’ll spend my money somewhere else. Their name implies risk and danger and I was really expecting some unique flavors but not on my...
