Subway — Restaurant in Newberg

I gave a 3 because the sub-makers did excellent, but the person handling money was wrapping sandwiches WITHOUT GLOVES,, and did not seem to understand concept of cross contamination.

Plus, touched inside my wrapper and told me did not. I have never had a Subway staff do that. This was also the manager pitching in to help. My sandwich and husband's had someone's hands and other people's money contaminating it. Remind these folks that I have to touch the outside. Money is one of the dirtiest things you can touch in a business and everyone was having to give cash this day.

I should have just left the sandwiches. How do I know when she washed her hands last, and whether or not she is sick?

Do these folks get inspected?

They were not behind and line was not long.

I will go to the other Subway in town from now on. I have done lots of training as a nurse, and feel that someone needs to check on this place.

0, zero, not worth a star, of course I need to put one to post a review. This whole review is only for the oriental gentleman that works there. The other workers are great, friendly, and I feel comfortable to be there and order some food. So like a past review said, yes less meat than normal. Even for vegetables, you ask for example tomatoes and for a footlong he puts 3 slices. You ask for more tomato slices and he puts one more tiny slice from the end of the tomato. Which makes you ask for more tomatoes and to give you the actual slices, but once again he just put one tiny end piece down. Very uncomfortable atmosphere when the oriental gentleman is there, always feeling awkward just to order a sandwich. He doesn't explain things and you sit there staring at him confused, like you are supposed to know what he is talking about. I tried going there a couple of times to still try them out but I'm done. I will not go to this subway anymore. I will go to the other one in the downtown area. Hopefully it will be a...

I think I have been eating Subway for 25 years, since my Freshman year in college. Yikes! I have never had a bad experience with Subway.

The Newberg Subway is a family favorite. My son and daughter choose this over any other quick food chain 9/10 times and I’m happy for it. The staff are always making our sandwiches with care, no rush, not skimpy and are really pleasant. Sydney was excellent the other day by simply answering my questions about combinations that would or would not work. Her insight and willingness to create with me was exactly what I needed for my sandwich .

The store always has clients, it’s clean, organized, and we love it. Stay patient, these folks are working hard, have lots of orders at times from online and it feels understaffed. But they work hard and keep it positive!
