Famous Pizza Newburyport — Restaurant in Newburyport

Came in for lunch today 9/29/23 with a developmentally disabled friend. The cashier looked at him with such disgust. I am sensitive to this as he is treated this way alot. Regardless he ordered a small buffalo mac n cheese pizza, chips, and a drink $26.49 total. When the pizza came out to the table it had no mac n cheese on it! When I asked about the error she said, "I know I hit the wrong button, thats my fault." So she knew this already?? So I asked if he could have a small container of the mac n cheese..... She said he could buy a kids mac n cheese! I said forget that! Why should he have to buy a kids mac n cheese? I wonder if she would have corrected this mistake if he wasn't mentally challenged? 🤔 The food was decent but I don't like the way she dismissed her mistake and left him to deal with it. She should learn to hide her biases better if she will be working the front counter...we are not all perfect!! He is not less than and should have been given...

This place is awful. Place is like a 2 on a scale 1-10 plus I’m sick from it. My husband did a takeout order he specifically said turkey and bacon panini . The girl on the phone even asked the kitchen specifically if they could make it . They said they could. She then clarified the Order to make sure it was turkey and bacon even saying “that’s it turkey and bacon nothing else . “ we again said yes . We got home i excitingly took a bite of my panini ate a few bites only to find out not only was there no turkey there which would of been fine . However , there was cheese in there . I”m LACTOSE INTOLERANT. If you answer the phone an someone says they want a sandwich a specific way an your on the phone and even clarify twice why on earth would you make a sandwich the exact opposite ? I’m sick now. I was excited about my chicken fingers only to be disappointed again due to how flavorless they are . My husbands meal was extremely greasy he got a pasta...

It's a shame I can't give them 0 stars.

Ordered several pizzas, subs, and a salad worth for 5 people. Waited 45 minutes to have the driver leave the food on the front steps in the beginning of January when its 25 degrees outside!!!

No knock at the door or phone call - just a text from a random number that was sent who knows how long after they put it there.

Of course the food was ice cold.

When I called the store to say how ridiculous this is the managers response was to tell me some people don't answer their doors or phones so its acceptable to do it this way. Disgusting. I should have just lit the $90 I spent on fire since it would have done a better job at keeping whatever dinner I could have made warm.

I've been getting takeout from Famous for 20+ years and will never order any of their ridiculously overpriced food ever again after this kick in the teeth level of customer...
