This Newburyport location is reliably unreliable and they will do nothing to make things right with the customer when they make costly mistakes. Their pizzas cost about $26 and it’s a coin flip as to whether you’ll actually receive what you ordered when you ordered it. You can expect any combination of burned pizzas, being given the wrong pizza, forgotten toppings, a lack of toppings, or making you wait far beyond the time promised for your order. The corporate office doesn’t care either. I’ve contacted them. Imagine planning your family order ahead of the rush. You show up a few minutes after you receive the text that your order is ready for pickup. You have your hungry toddler in hand to to arrive and get dinner, as you specifically planned. The guy at the counter, Diego, says “5 more minutes. He’s cutting your pizza up right now.” 45 minutes later… after the text telling you your order is ready… you ask for your refund because you need to have dinner ready for your family. He ignores your request and he says again, “5 more minutes. He’s cutting your pizza up right now.” You ask for your refund again and he hands you two cold pizzas and a sloppy topping fresh pizza. Once again, I contacted Otto’s corporate office for help in making this right and was completely ignored. There are plenty of capable pizza places in our town and I will never order from this location again. They get 1 star because the company has a solid rewards program.
See below for the cookie cutter response you should expect, if you ever have an issue with Otto’s. They take your complaint and file it in their electronic trash. Zero customer engagement. Otto’s...
Read moreThis is a pizza place inside of a liquor store. That was a little bit confusing for us, so I figured I would warn you. The worker that we interacted with was very young but super helpful. He helped us decide what to order and even had the machine let us split the bill. Would recommend ordering ahead because it was a bit weird to walk around a liquor store for 15 minutes as someone under 21. Also of note that they don't have public restrooms, so you will have to hold it until you can make it somewhere else. Pizza was fine, pretty greasy. I wouldn't deliberately go back, but if I found myself in this particular liquor store/cheese store/pizza shop again, it would not be the end of the world.
Edit: would like to say that you did not miss the mark at all. All of my critiques were personal preference things and you are running an...
Read moreWhen you have been making your own amazing pizza for several years, primarily driven by a vegan forward diet, it ‘s admittedly difficult to consider ordering someone else’s. With a few exceptions, either the crust is not as good, or ingredients are not as vast, flavorful, or PLENTIFUL. My husband and I recently moved to the Newburyport area. No working oven, and being exhausted from the tasks at hand, we decided to give OTTO a try for our pizza - martini Friday night. It was really worth it so had to share. We ordered basically a Greek influence with Kalamata, onion, spinach, red sauce which we normally would not include, and their VEGAN cheese option hoping for the best. Credit where credit is due, very delicious. Hope you might consider expanding the vegan options with some blue or feta time to...
