Cookie Lab OC — Restaurant in Newport Beach

We picked up the OG, Salted Caramel Pecan, and Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk.

The OG was very mediocre, very “doughy”. The dough itself was not that great. The Salted Caramel Pecan was sadly underwhelming and disappointing. It looks great, but the flavor wasn’t. Overly sweet, and the texture was just not it. THE OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHUNK ON THE OTHER HAND WAS SPOT ON!! Will definitely come back for it. Loved the kind of chocolate they used, and the texture was spot on. (Highly recommended heating it up before consuming, this goes for all the other cookies but this one specifically. I think I wouldn’t have loved it as much had it not been microwaved prior to eating.)

The cookies were quite pricey, but expected considering the location and surrounding neighborhood. Would come back for the oatmeal...

I finally had the opportunity to check out Cookie Lab today after seeing it in the beautiful Crystal Cove Shopping Center. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I noticed other people who had difficulty deciding among the various varieties of cookies and beverages. The staff was very patient with each customer who had questions about the ingredients and flavors.

My selections were easy: Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin. Both cookies had a very nice texture and were outstanding. I highly recommend pairing these with their organic milk selections to have the full delicious cookie experience.

I was told they also have a location in the Irvine Spectrum, so more people will have access. I will definitely return and can enjoy the beautiful scenery at Crystal Cove while in...

I tried the peppermint holiday special cookie. I never knew toothpaste was so expensive. This “delicacy” tastes like crest 3D whitening toothpaste. When you first taste the cookie you get a minty flavor, but it proceeds to turn to a very unsatisfactory texture and feels grainy. I promise there will be a financial and mental regret after buying this specific item. I have not tried their other options, but my expectations are not high. Keep in mind this single cookie was $6.77. Personally, that seems a little expensive for something so...
