Horrible, fish was definitely reheated after being cooked for a while. I usually enjoy Captain D's very very much, but today I was very disappointed the fish was so hard I could barely chew it. And I drive over a 300 mi round trip, which I only get to take once a month to come and get my favorite Captain D's fish. But today the young man at the window was very rude, they forgot half my food overcharged me and when I got out of the car, which I am disabled so it was very difficult for me to get out of the car and walk back in, the manager was rude and every single worker in the store was whispering and talking about me because I came back in to get my food that was missing? I'm just in shock and all and very disappointed, I would really like to speak to someone higher up about the way they treat people when they make a mistake at Captain D's. Well I went back , 300 mile trip, tried again, food was I've cold literally broccoli had ice in it, fish was cold my husband threw his food in garbage and walked out. I tried to eat mine because I had just came from the doctor after fasting, and I was just trying to suffer the food down. It was just horrible I ended up just getting the box and bringing it home, it was so hard even after I reheated it it was in edible another $40 down the drain :-( but I brought up to the manager's attention and she got very snippy with me, and literally did not even say sorry or anything. I will not be going back to the store I've gave them three chances after I had a terrible experience, and all three chances after the terrible experience have been even worse than the time before. Like I said I will not be going back but I have lost a lot of money because Captain D's is my favorite restaurant. So now I won't be looking for a new Captain D's, sorry but you had four chances to do better, and the staff was also asleep on the tables laying their heads on the tables, playing on their phones the manager was laughing and giggling with the employees the entire time, maybe if they would focus more on the food and keeping the food hot they wouldn't have so much time to play around and brag about wearing...
Read moreRead moreSERVICE at this location is USUALLY OUTSTANDING! No joking around... Most of the EMPLOYEES here are EXCELLENT at their jobs, and the ONES THAT ARE – they GO "Above & Beyond"! Also, the atmosphere inside, was IMPECCABLE – this includes: the interior DECO/updated, comfortable furnishings, the cleanliness/& UPKEEP of ALL AREAS, along which ANY SEAFOOD - LOVER person WOULD WANT TO BEcome a "REGULAR CUSTOMER" is the experience I wrote about, which RESULTED FROM my fam's FIRST TRIP as 'EAT-INSIDE' customers, to THIS LOCATION ~ ABOUT TWO YEARS now that r AGO, during the Autumn months of #2019! TONIGHT'S VISIT, thru the DRIVE-THRU, was – UNFORTUNATELY – NOT as GREAT of an EXPERIENCE, as the FIRST & subsequent VISITS. My ORDER WAS #MISSING #2 PIECES OF FISH
Our experience was excellent from the time we walked in the door being greeted by friendly staff behind the counter whom were very patient with us because it's been awhile since we'd been & needed to review the menu. After we got seated being very happy we could eat inside we were brought our food to the table & were kindly asked if there was anything else we needed. Our food was hot & very appealing just like it was shown on the menu which doesn't happen everywhere these days and it tasted even better than it looked which is why I didn't leave a crumb on my plate. I found out in December that my cholesterol had elevated to where it never had before but I'm on it to get it back down to normal by end of March & so I was glad to have the healthy option of grilled fish with steamed broccoli & green beans. I personally don't use table salt on any of my food & was so pleased that none of my food was salty, Yaaay! Whoever prepares the sweet & unsweet tea please keep it up because it made my mix of half & half come out perfect. Looking forward to coming back again & again having a delicious meal when not cooking myself and seeing great friendly staff that were all working together looking like a well...
