These days I went to dinner with a restaurant that I always wanted to go to, I had already been to other restaurants of the same name, and the truth is that I always left quite disappointed.
That's why I had the idea that this one was going to be the same, we arrived and were served with great joy at the entrance,
they sat us in a booth, and quickly a waiter came and took our drink order, and even suggested that we try the margaritas,
it was not in our plan to drink Margarita that night, since in the other restaurants of the same franchise when we had Margarita we tasted a very artificial taste.
However, the waiter's suggestion quickly convinced us, he brought us two margaritas that looked spectacular,
Very well decorated, when he left them on the table he said that he would be back and with a knowing look he said, try it and tell me.
A moment later he returned to take the food order and we were surprised with the unique flavor of this Margarita.
Different from all the ones we tried,
once he took the food order he left us for a brief moment and quickly returned with the food that was ready, the simple decoration, but with a lot of dedication to each dish surprised us, the waiter was always attentive to see if we needed anything, even the manager himself stopped by our table to see if everything was okay and we had the opportunity to congratulate him and thank him for the work he is doing.
To conclude the night, we ate an exquisite chocolate cake, we really had a spectacular dinner, very different from the other Cancun places, I hope they take it as an example to follow,
There are things to improve, like the very loud music, or the bad face of some of the other waiters,
But in general we were very surprised and of course we will return, thanks to the manager and the waiter, I think his name is Chris for offering us such a nice evening.
A 100%...
Read moreThe inside is much more impressive than the outside of this joint. Lots of seating weather it is booths for 4 to 6, depending on the size of the people, or tables that can accommodate larger groups. Tables are wood, nothing cheap or plastic and have the vibe of "Mexican" restaurant. Servers were all Latin when I stopped by, their service and English is great but always a good sign to have staff speaking Spanish to each other. I was expecting a lot of TexMex stuff and pleasantly surprised cotija was more common on the menu than cheddar or Jack. Still had all the staples, burrito, taco, quesadilla, but made with a little more flair than a chain. My brother and I both got chimichanga, they were good, scratched the itch we had for deep fried stuff, rice and beans were nothing to write home about, this was about stuffing food in your face. The star was the choriquesso appetizer. I was expecting some queso with chorizo mixed in. We got a pepper stuffed till it over flowed with chorizo and cheese on a sizzling platter. I looked awesome, it tasted better. The chorizo was better than expected, I was not ready for how cool that dish was. It was darn good food and a real event. Lights are kept low, lots of tv's to watch a game at the full bar. Service staff was ok. I got the feeling my server was a guy who thrived on serving more people than just two. Some other reviewer left a note about how it there should be one server for every 6 people. I couldn't disagree more in this case. This isn't white table cloth joint, this is hearty portions and pitchers of margaritas. Trust me this dude could have handled 14 top by himself and maybe two...

My drink order was wrong, my fajitas were lukewarm at best, (and also not the right ones) and my wife's food came out 20 min after mine. The waitress said it was her first day and even after all the mistakes I was willing to forgive that and chalk it up to a bad day. We called the manager over just to take my Wife's food off of the bill because she still had not received it and he became instantly hostile before we even finished speaking, saying they were so busy and claiming that we should expect to get our food 20 min apart because they were so busy. His response to me mentioning my lukewarm food was "Well you ate it didn't you?"
Wrong drink orders, not fresh food, first day waitresses, I can look past all of that since I have been coming here for years. But disrespect to my wife and I are not going to be tolerated. This was our last visit. I left my original review below so you can see how far this place has fallen.
"Have been coming for years and they are by far my favorite Mexican joint in town. Worth the drive here. Miguel is amazing and always remembers our drink order without even...
