Marco's Café — Restaurant in Newport

Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. Was planning on getting just a small snack, but then I saw their sandwiches...

I do believe I've eaten more sandwiches than 99% of the population, so I'm a self-proclaimed expert. I had Rachel's Special. No, it's not on the menu, but when I asked about their chicken options- the young lady (Rachel) that was helping me said she had just made a grilled chicken with mozzarella and peppers and balsamic glaze on a toasted hero earlier in the day, and I ought to try it.

It was a top 5 sandwich all time. The ingredients were all incredibly fresh, and you can tell that they do all the little things that make a sandwich delicious. My wife had some vegetable thing that I wouldn't touch, but she said it was the best veggie wrap she's ever had.

So there you have it. Ask for Rachel's Special. I hope they put it on...

Nice people but forgot heated pastry & scone and an entire breakfast sandwich. Handed us an order that wasn't ours..we went and gave it the people waiting outside and reminded staff it wasn't ours. Ordered home fries/tater tots and took order then told us (after they forgot them) that they were out. Said they'd give me something else on the house but since they never credited the original order, not really on the house. None of it was a big deal, but when you add them all up, kind of annoying. Hard to find good help for fast paced summer crowds but there were only about 5 or 6 customers so hard to say that was the issue either. The Lox bagel was very good, the Asiago bagel sandwich with sausage and egg was a bit bland. Coffee was pretty good. Hope feedback...

My husband and I loved Marco’s Cafe’s food so much, we ordered from there twice during our short, 3-day stay in Newport. Our first breakfast was their Cali breakfast burrito, which is absolutely massive - about the thickness and length of a loaded sub sandwich - and filled our hungry tummies with fresh, delicious ingredients, and generous portions of salsa verde and sour cream on the side. Those are the largest breakfast burritos I’ve ever had.

Our second breakfast from Marco’s Cafe were their bagel breakfast sandwiches made with the most delicious bagels - the good bagels with the blisters!

Their staff was super friendly and welcoming during both visits! I would definitely eat at Marco’s Cafe again (multiple times!) if I ever found myself in...
