You can get your parking validated. Otherwise that parking fee can be pretty steep.
Came here because the reviews were good but it was kind of disappointing. We ordered 2 different chirashi and 1 udon. The chirashi had two pieces of sashimi in there that were cut to the normal thickness. Everything else was extremely thin. About 1/3 of usual sashimi thickness. Some of them were so thin they were translucent. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them cut so thin. I guess they are trying to reduce cost or something but for the cost of the bowl it’s kind of ridiculous. For the udon, the amount of noodles were less than other places. So I would say for a normal adult you might have to order something else in addition to that if you want to have it as a meal. All in all, the food did not deserve the total rating it currently shows.
Service person was nice but he did forget a few things. But that’s fine. I didn’t mind it too much.

Read moreI enjoyed this spot. I usually get my sushi from somewhere else, but I will add this place to my list of places to buy from.
The gyoza was good. It came out hot and it was crunchy. It had good flavor and came with a little sauce. The California Roll was also good. An order comes with h six. The Chicken Yakisoba was also good. I think it was flavored well and had a bit of a kick.
The atmosphere was nice. It was nicely decorated and looks like a good place to just grab food or go on a date. There is a place to sit where you can see them make the sushi.
The staff was friendly. I really like the fact that my server asked if me and my friends wanted to Split the check or keep it as one. This is just one of those little things that helps make your experience better.
The main parking lot is paid, but they do up to two hours of validation. There is free street parking not too far. During the summer, you might have difficulty finding free...
Read moreVery désappointiez by the restaurant at its new location. Mori Sushi used to be this gem in downtown Newport where one could experience authentic and affordableJapanese cuisine in an intimate setting with exquisite service.; one perk was to be able to bring your own booze. At the new location up hill, the setting on a large parking lot is that of a chain restaurant with bright lights and unflavored decor,, i.e., it almost feels like a cafeteria. The service by untrained servers is poor and the food very average : no better than one can get in many food stores. Small pieces of Sushi and Sashimi are served on sad white porcelain dishes (no more elegant wooden boats). The quality of the fish itself (freshness, taste) is much lower than one would expect given the price tag which is on the high side. No possibility to bring your own wine anymore, yet the wine list is extremely limited (this is an understatement) as is the desert list. Not...
