Positively Awful ! Can't even believe this is happening.
I was given a $200.00 gift card from my daughter for a Christmas present to take a cheesemaking class. I signed up. What a great, thoughtful, fun gift !!
I found out after I registered, that I have to be out of town on that date. The class isn't until the end of March.
I tried to cancel, and asked to have the gift card refunded so I could use it on a different date.
I was told, NO. Their "policy" is no exchanges, no refunds.
The woman who sent me the email (finally, after 3 phone calls and 2 emails from me) in her reply wrote "can I suggest offering to friends who may be able to go in your place".
I should offer the GIFT my daughter spent money on for me to use, to a friend to "go in my place." ??
I couldn't believe what I was reading. I can't remember ever being treated so terribly for no reason.
If I cancelled the day of the class, okay, maybe. But this was a month in advance, they've incurred no expense from me signing-up and I said I want to take the class sometime in the future.
But instead of treating me like a valued customer, or even like a person, I got a big old...
Read moreMy wife and I came in for breakfast on the 1st day of reopening. The food is fantastic, and the hospitality we received was second to none. The panino we split, was well balanced, with the richness of the fresh mozzarella cutting the saltiness of the prosciutto. After enjoying an espresso and some tea, we had a lovely conversation with Luca, who then took the time to walk me through, and sample, the selection of cheeses they're curating. This man really just radiates an authentic love for the work he is doing, and my interest in the food science aside, these are also some of the most flavorful and nuanced cheeses I've had the pleasure of trying. I'm partial to the Taleggio, an Italian semi-soft cheese, which has a mild but flavorful pungency without the intensity of similar stinky cheeses. The French Cheddar is also great, absent the sharpness of most Cheddar, the finish has a practical bouquet of pleasant subtleties.
I'm looking forward to coming back to Mozz when they've had to chance to really build out their new menu. If cheese and genuine Italian charm is your kind of thing, don't...
Read moreWe made the mistake of coming back after finding what we thought was a gem last summer. The manager on Friday 7/5, sporting her designer sunglasses and neon sneakers, was the most unpleasant, condescending, and irritated woman. She barked at the employees, loudly correcting them, belittling them, and stating "I'm not going to remember any of your names," as if they were of that little importance to her. We felt bad for the staff. Our mortadella sandwich was literally 3 slices of meat, drizzled with oil and salt and pepper. We had to ask again for the cook to add cheese. She didn't add anything else, no lettuce or tomato, a drizzle of pesto would have been great, but she too was in a bad mood so we didn't push it. The only pleasantry was the wonderful young Italian man that took our order. Hopefully for his sake, he's already on his way...
