Otaka Sushi & Ramen is a fantastic find! The location is great, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the food is absolutely outstanding. Their extensive menu offers a wide range of delicious options, making it easy for everyone to find something they’ll love.

We especially enjoy their special rolls, particularly the no-rice versions—perfect for those looking for something lighter or more traditional. Having lived in Tokyo for two years, we appreciate that maki rolls aren’t typically the highlight in Japan, but Otaka’s takes are thoughtful and flavorful. I highly recommend: the Sweetheart Roll, the Spicy Tuna Naruto, the Yellowtail Scallion roll and the Caterpillar Roll, each one was fresh, balanced, and beautifully presented.

For those not into sushi, their ramen is a solid and satisfying option, making this an ideal place for groups with diverse tastes.

We had an amazing experience. I don’t normally leave reviews, but this place knocked it out of the park. They were busy (very good sign) and we chose to sit at the sushi bar. We started with rock shrimp tempura. Very similar to what we know as Bang Bang Shrimp. It was piping hot, crispy and very tasty. Wish we got one each. Then we shared a green salad, ginger dressing was on point. We shared a shrimp pad Thai, and the taste score was 10/10. I’m a Brit, and the spice level was flavourful and gave it the umpf without being over powering. Dessert was what I call Banana Fritas with ice cream…omg….this was not a one person dessert, thank god we shared! But yes, it was piping hot, crispy and we just had to eat the whole thing. Best dinner we’ve had in a long time. Wish I lived here! We will be back next year! BYOB is a game changer, saved some Pennie’s and still have us a great experience....

We were looking forward to a nice evening and trying a new restaurant. When we arrived, there were 2 other couples dining. We placed a salad order, and within 5 minutes it came out. Then about 5 minutes later, we placed an order for 4 sushi rolls. A couple more people arrived and everyone received their food but us. Thirty minutes later, and being told that our food will be ready shortly, we still didn't have any food. This was absolutely a disgrace. When something finally did come out, it wasn't what we ordered, and we were beyond irritated. The waitress could only offer an apology. The chefs clearly weren't working on making our meals. In fact, to go orders were being made instead of ours. Needless to say, we left without getting served. NEVER AGAIN will we try this place.
