MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Newtown Township

I have to write this…

It was our first time at this location, and it was unbelievable—in a bad way.

We wanted to order Garlic Cheese Bread, a Dominic pizza in MOD size, and an Italian Chop Salad in MOD size as well.

The first problem was with the sizes. I used the store’s terminology, but the person taking our order asked if I wanted a “small” or “medium” size for the salad. I didn’t know the equivalent of those terms in your sizing system.

Secondly, I clearly said we wanted a Dominic pizza in a certain size. The guy asked, “Do you want cheese and sauce?” I didn’t understand the question and repeated that I just wanted the Dominic pizza with everything that comes with it. I specified the MOD size for the pizza.

He said okay.

At the register, I noticed that the order was for a mini pizza with just sauce and cheese, without any of the toppings that come with a Dominic pizza (fresh chopped basil, red onions, sliced tomatoes, and mild sausage).

I started asking the cashier to check my order because I had ordered a Dominic pizza. The guy who took our order told the cashier that I asked for a mini with sauce and cheese. I never said that at all!

I was really confused and didn’t have the energy to argue about it.

Thirdly, the person packing the pizza didn’t see the comments about the sauces. I had to repeat my request.

Overall, it was a horrible experience.

After this, we went to the Downingtown location and placed a normal order there.

Next time, I’ll be driving through this location hungry and never stopping here again.

No one seems to get my order right, even when I repeat it multiple...

I hate to give Mod a bad review but it's not the food, it's their employees. I walked in and the place was empty, Not 1 person was sitting or waiting. The girl that waited on me seemed completely annoyed & bothered that I even walked in. Not a hello, not a smile...she just looked at me like what do you want?? I ordered a mini w sausage. I had 4 pieces of sausage on my pizza. I honestly didn't even want to complain or ask her to throw more sausage on because she was already so annoyed prior to me ordering. No customer skills whatsoever!! My bill was $13.06, I gave her $15 and said "keep the change", just to see if she would crack a smile 😃 but nope!! Stone cold faced the entire time. When this placed oped I loved their pizza. Since then the service and food quality has really tanked. The food is commonly burnt on top and soggy on the bottom. I always get the mega dough so the regular may not be this way. But what irritates me the most is when a restaurant screws up and takes their mistakes out on the customer. This almost happened to me last night when I went there for veterans Day and the guy behind the counter said it applied to all the pizzas. I get to the register and such luck. Instead of just giving us the pizza at the promo price they were going to scrap the incorrect pizza and make it to the correct size... They finally came to their senses and just gave us the promo but not before dragging the customer throw the mud for their screw up. This is absolutely unacceptable and I will really this twice before eating at that location ever again. So be warned, the customer service...
