I ordered a large matcha latte & not even 30 seconds later — before the person at the cashier could even read my order back to me & finalize — I asked if they could make it a medium matcha latte instead.
The cashier person then informed one of the baristas in another language that I was changing my order to medium (“large” and “medium” were both said in English). The barista, who had already started on the order before I confirmed or even paid, started yelling back in this language & saying “large, large” in a mean tone over and over again when the cashier person said “she just wanted to change it.” I even said, “if it’s too late, it’s ok to charge me for the large. I don’t want to cause any problems.”
She then yelled “LARGE” a total of six times & glared at me like I had done something incredibly offensive, and then handed over a LARGE matcha that was so clumpy it was evident she hadn’t mixed it much.
I’ve worked in food service before & get how annoying it can be when someone changes their order, but to speak about a customer while they’re in front of you (even in another language when you’re clearly using the words “large” and “medium” to talk about this person…) is incredibly unprofessional and reminded me why I never visit this Dunkin even though it’s the closest to my house.
I got a hostile reaction to a reasonable request, and I won’t be...
Read moreHave been nice in the past when they have commonly messed things up. But today was ridiculous. My mom’s coffee was extremely burnt and when I went to tell the middle aged woman who often works there she complained at me with a big attitude saying no one else complained about it which is pretty irrelevant. Then had ordered a toasted bagel with butter. The butter was soaked through the extremely soggy bagel. Asking for a replacement bagel she had an even bigger attitude- tried to blame us for not asking for the butter on the side, but no one would’ve enjoyed that butter dripping mess. The second time I asked them to toast it extra and it still came back barely toasted. When my coffee cooled off it was also extremely burnt but after how unpleasant the woman was to us I just threw it away. I was especially surprised with her attitude considering she remembered us as customers in the past who have given them lots of business. Waste of $14. From now on I will not go to this Dunkin’ Donuts and will tell my friends and family to do the same. The one on gross point rd and dempster is far superior and not...
Read moreThis DD is the closest location en route work and so I stop for Iced Macchiato the mornings I miss breakfast. I bought one last time and it was bitter, came again this week, ordered the same and told the lady the last one was kinda bitter, you forgot to add the sweetner? Reply, "not everybody drinks with a sweetner, you have to ask us to add it" Now I'm not an Iced Macchiato virtuoso, and so I've no idea what goes in it unless asked specifically, which happened 1st 3 times I picked it up. This was customer service at its lousiest. Instead of "what kind of sweetner would you like?" I was told off, that it was my job to make sure they add a sweetner. this was the last time I go to this lousy location. So long DD on...
