SCAM or a MISTAKE? Always grab your receipts and do the math on your own!!! I ordered a large pot of Red Tea, which is $25 according to the menu. They don't ask if you need a receipt, they don't give receipts at all, so i learned the trick and always request the receipt upfront. So! My receipt says "large glass pot is $19.65" and "1 red tea is $5.65". Let's do the math: 19.65+5.65=$25.30, not $25. Same happened when i ordered "1 saffron adeni for $6.50" and "large glass pot for $19.65". Total comes to $26.15! Not $25 like the menu says! The math is not mathing! The last time i was there i talked to the manager about it. He did seem confused and reimbursed a small amount for all the past times.
Before talking to the manager, I asked a cashier once - why it's more than $25 (the price of a large pot) and was told they charge extra for the tea. Ok, sure, but why is it not on the menu? I am ok with paying extra for the tea BUT IT MUST BE LISTED ON THE MENU!!! ABSOLUTELY MISLEADING!!!
Another question about pricing items on display. Most of the items there are priced. And some cheesecakes are not priced . The menu on the wall says “cheesecake $8”. And then they charge you $10😐instead of the price there’s a “*” sign which probably means it is an exclusion, but i want to know the price, I don’t want to be guessing what this sign means and why they charge $10 and not $8…
Otherwise, i like this place and their hours. The food is always fresh and delicious. It does get very loud & noisy during weekends and they would turn on the music to make it a complete nightmare (as an introvert, i can't breathe and stay focused on my friends conversation and feel like...

Having grown up with Bravo Greek Coffee from my mother, I'm particular to Bravo, so maybe that affects my opinion along with the global loss in coffee bean strength and quality. (Research and read about it.) ¶ The desserts are pricey but decent: (1) Macaroons are crunchy on the outside, similar to a Philippine macaroon, yet filled with loads of tangy-sweet filling. They're good for dipping in one's briki of Turkish coffee. (2) Dubai cheesecake is fine but sadly nothing special. Cheesecake Factory slices better it. (3) The pistachio cake earns a big thumbs up.
Service 4/5: Slowish whilst empty but always pleasant and courteous. And to that preceding comment, they made Turkish coffee, which takes time.... So no serious complaints.
Atmosphere 4/5: Gorgeous interior. Love the wall tiles. (I'd add photos but everyone seems to have already done that.) This venue is also clean. I wish it had more lounging chairs, situated closer to windows. There's a private lounge/dining room but it had a very faint smell of sewage. So we sat in it for a few and hastened onto the main area for better air. NB this Haraz is next door to an Addah Street Food, so it's good not only for morning but post-lunch and dinner desserts.
Final Comment: It's better than Bean Bar Northbrook by a kilometer plus 10 miles due to Haraz's food and atmosphere....
Read moreCame in on a Sunday for coffee and dessert to support our new local coffee shop and was very disappointed...with the family.
The place was not busy at all but there were 4 people in line and 4 workers at the counter. We noticed that the desserts were not in the display fridge and thought maybe they're in the back. So we wait our turn. 10 mins go by and the line hasn't budged. My husband calls on one of the workers but no response. This goes on four more times....and no there was no loud music and as I mentioned it wasn't busy.
When my husband finally got someone's attention he asked if they make their sweets in house...he said some but not all. So my husband asked we there were any of the named items available...that's when the worker said it would be out after 7.
Keep in mind we went in during the month of Ramadan...and it was four o'clock. My husband was a bit confused and asked again if we can try something...again he mentioned that it would be out at 7...my husband then asked if they are only saving their food items to serve for Iftar (when you break your Ramadan fast) he smiled and said no. My husband tried one last time because the kids really wanted something sweet...still with a smile the man said no.
We left with confused looks and very...
