Nordstrom Cafe Old Orchard — Restaurant in Niles Township

I came here to eat with my mom. We got the house made soup which was the chicken tomatillo soup, chicken Panini and the wild shrimp pomadoro pasta. The soup was good but felt the cup portion was a little small. It came with a crostini. I didn't like the pasta. It was bland, pasta undercooked, shrimp overcooked and with shell on. When you eat the pasta, the skins of the tomato makes a rough taste. The panini was bland and all the vegetables didn't mash teogether. If it was seasoned with a sauce it would have been better. My mother and I went to order a lavender latte, and after our first sip of coffee, we notified our barista that there was no lavender. The barista avoided eye contact and after a couple of minutes, without an apology, said she would add a pump of lavender to our drinks. After a few more sips, there was no lavender taste again. Very rude service and expensive coffee that taste very bad. I absolutely loved this place. It has the feel of a quiet cafe. The person taking the order was nice, respectful, and knowledgeable but not too chatty. I ordered the bowl of clam chowder. It's to die for, and the spicy shrimp dish was delicious. Big portions. It was simply too overpriced for soup and an entree. If I had ordered a salad, it would've cost 80 something dollars.
