Salvatore's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Niles

Today I went there and waited over 15 minutes for chicken tenders and French fries. When I went up to the counter to ask if my food was done the cashier went to the back to ask and came back and said that I could either wait or have a refund. When I asked why they proceeded to tell me no one put in the ticket for my food. I received my refund and I am HIGHLY disappointed. I understand that they were busy but when the one worker stood there and asked what I needed and I proceeded to tell them my order and they neglected to put it in then we have a problem. I worked in food for 8 years and I understand when the company becomes overwhelmingly busy, but you never forget someone's order. That's just bad business. As for the family who sat next to my table they share my disappointment due to the fact that the workers "forgot" that they put their food on a counter because "they were so busy". Service was great, kid working there was polite. Food was over priced hospital good to put it nicely. $62 for bland food. 3 burgers (plain, nothing special), 3 small fries, 2 small bowls of pasta with tomato sauce (about a cup in each bowl). The burgers my kids said we're bitter tasting, so those went into the trash. My toddlers who wanted spaghetti took a bite of their noodles looked at me in disgust as they spit it back into the bowl. Teenage worker can't read Entertainment Book coupon. Buy one pizza get $6.00 off second. He INSISTED it was buy a slice. Took 20 minutes on his part of making excuses saying he'd have to call someone about it. Blah blah blah blah. Finally, he told my husband, "Whatever makes you happy".
