Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Noble Township

My husband and I and our children has just left the Applebee's on North Clinton St. in Defiance Ohio in total disgust. We walked through the second set of doors to the entry of the main eating area and the most pungent smell slapped us right back out into the parking lot. It wasn't the type of stink like a fart or body odor. It was most likely a sewage problem. And the weird thing about it was, there was absolutely not one scent of food in the air. Like none. Not sure what the issue was, but it was not pleasant at all.

Update: So the owner/ head manager reached out to me regarding my previous review. She then went on to say that reviews like this could hurt their business and that she was at the location herself earlier that day and witnessed no such a thing. She also mentioned that they received no other complaints that night, insinuating that I was lying and intentionally trying to bring shame to their business. My husband and the children and I are from Michigan and had just got off the highway late that night searching for a place to dine. At the kids request, this Applebee's was chosen. Before this time, we had never been to this location, so we had no reason to lie. We just wanted to reward our children for their behavior on the long road trip and wanted to dine in and eat. This manager did not care about the actual situation, she did not want to hold any accountability for our experience that night. Very unprofessionally handled. Didn't offer any accommodations for the inconvenience, just stood in denial the entire...

Visited twice both times were very disappointing.. my first visit I tried a steak it was very dry not rare like I ordered.. the second time I visited I tried a burger to which had to be sent back for being very undercooked and my wife's steak this time was also dry.. waiter seemed dim-witted I probably will not go back..

After some serious thought I figured I would give this place another try and I regretted it This counts as the third strike for me and I'm done. I'm definitely not going back.. Waitress was terrible, the table we sat at was sticky and dirty. Food orders were off and portions were different although the same thing was ordered. Had to ask for napkins three different times. The food was lackluster per usual my daughter had the chicken alfredo the broccoli was warm but undercooked. My burger was only supposed to have a little pink but had mostly pink. Not even going to bother to complain for a comped meal or an apology I just won't go back and I'll spend my money elsewhere. If I could give it a zero Stars I would but I can't so I will retract my two star and...

Unfortunately our experience was very poor. It took awhile for our drinks and then took 45 minutes for our food. There were two pastas, a kids pizza and a 2 for 25 cheeseburgers (no pink). Our server avoided us most the time and once we started noticing everyone else getting their food and ours was no where in sight she came to our table to explain "kitchen was on struggle bus but food would be a few more minutes" Minutes later the manager came to our table apologizing for our wait, her apron being dirty and that two cooks didn't show up so she was on the line cooking but assured us our food would be out soon. A minute or two later the pastas and pizza came out A couple more minutes and the burgers came out. One burger was as ordered. My daughter bit into hers and I saw some pink- I told her not to eat anymore as this was unacceptable. While I asked for a server to get the manager- my daughter picked apart her burger thar was RAW inside. We asked for compensation and we did get that but we came for a nice family dinner and became frustrated and did not leave satisfied. I hope these things get resolved at...
