Rosies used to be our favorite place to catch breakfast or lunch in Noblesville. However, a recent stop in yielded poor service and an apparent lack of customer care that we've known Rosies for in the past. Previous visits to Rosies always greeted us with great customer care and service. This trip was different unfortunately. I called in and placed a very simple takeout order for chocolate chip pancakes. Pancakes...one of the simplest, easiest, and fastest things to cook. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived to pick up my order 11 minutes later. My food wasn't ready, but they went to check on it. No big deal. In the meantime, I paid and inquired about getting some honey for my pancakes in lieu of syrup. I typically use honey instead of syrup, as some syrups have ingredients that i'm sensitive to. I was told that honey costs extra. What? I was a bit shocked. Last time I checked, honey was a condiment like ketchup or jam. Who charges extra for honey? There are numerous breakfast eateries that would gladly hand out free packets of honey with your meal. Despite my surprise, I declined the honey...partially on principle and partially because I'd already paid and didn't want to have to pay again just for honey. I then sat down and waited for my pancakes. Over 10 minutes later, they are finally done. Not once while I was waiting or when I finally received my food was I apologized to for having to wait over double the time I was told. Nor was I offered a coffee or water while I waited. I guess this customer was just an afterthought. They didn't even take the opportunity to make an exception to their absurd honey policy and offer me some honey for my pancakes as an olive branch for having to wait so long. No friendly courtesies that you would expect from a hometown eatery...disappointing to say the least. I could understand the extra wait if the restaurant was packed, but it wasn't. It was busy, but there were empty tables. The lack of care and concern for my extra wait is what really was disappointing. It costs them nothing to offer an apology. We will be thinking twice about returning...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting a Rosie's location. It was ok. The host seemed annoyed to be there, but our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. She kept our coffee consistently filled which I greatly appreciated, especially since it was pretty busy, and she promptly took our orders and checked in with us during our meal. The atmosphere was ok but the space was cramped. There were a lot of people waiting to be seated when we arrived and very little waiting space. As there were two of us, we were seated at a 2-person table against the wall with a bench in one side which was VERY VERY close to the tables on either side of it--so close that I was afraid of bumping elbows with a man at the table to my right and we had a hard time having our own conversation as we could clearly hear the conversations on either side of us. The table was also pushed very close to the bench side so my feet kept getting caught on the claw feet of the table. We could have moved it out but then we'd have been in the walkway. We both had the Eggs Blackstone which had good flavor in the tomatoes and cornbread, but was otherwise disappointing. The (supposedly) poached eggs were hard cooked in the middle and not runny at all, the potatoes were bland, and the whole dish was semi-warm instead of hot when it was served. TBD on whether I'll give this place another try. Maybe one of the other locations...
Read moreUpdated post 10/26/22 - The disappointment continues with this restaurant. I walked from my house to Rosie's with my dog on a beautiful Saturday morning a couple weeks ago, only to be told they would not serve me outside!!!!!!!!!! DON'T ADVERTISE OUTDOOR SEATING IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT!!!!!!!!!! I tried to talk to the manager but she was "busy" making coffee and chatting with her buddies at the counter. She never came to speak to me.
I would STAY AWAY IF I WERE YOU! Extremely overpriced, baked goods are always stale, apparently they don't make their own Hollaindaise sauce, even though they tout everything is homemade. Big waste of money!
So disappointed. I wanted to order take out Eggs Benedict today and Rosie's does have very good Benedict, albeit very expensive, but once in a while I like to splurge. So I called to place the order and was told they couldn't make the dish because they didn't have the Hollaindaise sauce. Wait, what???? She said they didn't have the ingredients to make it. Again, what???? Hollaindaise has 3 VERY COMMON ingredients that every breakfast restaurant should have: BUTTER, EGGS (specifically yolks) and LEMON JUICE. How can you NOT have those 3 ingredients?? Seriously disappointed. But also now suspicious that they don't make their own Hollaindaise sauce. It's not that...
