I ordered through Uber Eats. I give the food and drinks a 3/5. I can't say anything about authenticity, but I feel like the food was good but could have been better. I ordered the egg rolls, veggie stir fried rice noodle, and corn fritters. The egg rolls were standard they taste pretty good comparably to any other restaurant. The veggie stir fried rice noodle was mid, I felt that it needed more flavor and seasoning, there were a lot of noodles and not enough vegetables in it, and overall it just felt like a really simple dish that could have easily been upgraded with a little bit more flavoring. It's the kind of dish where you're not sure if you would order it again but since you had it the first time you're okay with it. But there's nothing that draws me back to buying it again. The corn fritters were nice and crispy and had good flavor however they had too much seasoning and we're on the salty side of things. They are sweet which is nice but there is a lot of salt in it so when I eat it with the noodles it does bounce out but otherwise I thought it was too much seasoning. The star fruit juice drink was also made it did taste like fresh real star fruit but perhaps the fruit was out of season because it didn't have a lot of flavor. I was a little disappointed in it and if it's not in season they should take it off their menu. But otherwise it was just all right for...
Read moreOne of the few traditional taiwanese based restaurant that I know of in Atlanta, so it's worth checking out if you're in the area.
Cosmetically, barebone decor. Blank walls, stainless steel tables, wooden chairs, concrete cinder block dividers between tables, it's sorta industrial looking honestly.
Menu is very condensed, not THAT many options but enough to have a small snack or lunch/dinner. I'd recommend the spicy nuggets as starters or a small snack and a bento drum. Get it fried, just trust me on this. The bento drum is literally a large chicken thigh that has been deep fried (it's not fried chicken though, it's different) with a side of rice and two sides (I normally get cabbage and bean sprouts).
The chicken has a very crispy outside, the extra crispy skin is the best part, but the insides are still oh so moist. Couldn't be better.
Oh, if you still have room, try the bubble tea. Black milk or Green milk teas are always a safe bet. The tapioca here are a hit or miss sometimes on chewy-ness. But if you're looking for something tamer, try the mango green tea with...
Read moreI went to this place with my girlfriend for lunch one day. Overall the environment is clean and service is fine. Now the food:
👍Chicken nugget: I would recommend this. It also contained fried basil which added one more layer of flavor. It could be a little too spicy with the chili power and I think it could also be a bit crispier IMO.
👎Curry chicken huifan: absolutely horrible! I cook fitness meals all time so I knew instantly it was chicken breast. Overcooked and tough to bite. Also the curry tasted worse than store-bought curry cubes with minimal flavors of spices. Not worth the $15 price tag at all so don’t try it!
👍Basil fried rice w/ seafood: Seafood is pretty tender but I guess it’s previously frozen. The rice is neither soggy nor greasy and the basil’s aroma complements the dish. Overall it’s pretty fine.
So in general I would say try something Taiwanese, unique, and something that most likely would need to be made from scratch. For me I will probably never come again not because of its portion but rather it’s lacking the uniqueness and efforts put into...
