My recent rating of 5 stars has been based on the lunch crew. I am changing my rating to less than one star if that is possible because of the dinner crew this evening..it seems the manager on duty was having issues with too many people around her while filling orders. She began loudly chastising employees about this and rudely sent one home in front of customers...Next there was apparently A shortage of help in the kitchen because The manager kept asking them if they needed help because there was a backlog of orders developing and the kitchen was not keeping up, All the while, her yelling became more frequent and it was clearly obvious she was seriously annoyed.. This leads me to my main complaint. While waiting for my last 2 sandwiches, the manager was yelling at 1 of the kitchen staff to hurry up and put some cheese on my beef and cheddars. The employee in the kitchen took my sandwich apart, used the top bun from my sandwich and wiped a bunch of dirty cheese from the counter she was prepping sandwiches on, then put my sandwich back together, wrapped it and threw it onto the shelf to be bagged up for me. I witnessed the whole event. When the manager gave me my order, I told her what happened.. And explained in detail what I saw and told her that I was not going to eat that.. The manager confirmed what I told her when the employee in back admitted she had done that.. However it seemed that my disgust and Request for a fresh Sandwich seemed to irritate the manager even more.. After that, I was given a fresh Sandwich. Nothing was said to me. I was frowned at and basically, it seems that as a customer, I was a problem.. I happened to notice during this fiasco, there were other customers in the process of waiting for their orders and others were placing orders, they all appeared extremely uncomfortable with what had just transpired.. As far as I am concerned, this brings into question the freshness and quality of what the public is being served from this establishment.. Makes me wonder just what else is going on in the kitchen. Read moreAfter having visited this location a number of times, this last experience was bad enough that I felt it was necessary to share it here. My wife stopped by Arby's on the way home (we live 30 minutes from Norfolk and this is, by far, the closest Arby's to us) and ordered 6 meals (four regular meals and two kids' meals). We got half of our order, which cost us over $60 in total. This is not the first time our order has been incorrect and/or incomplete. Normally, we would check the order before we left the parking lot, but it was late in the evening and my wife was in a hurry to get home and feed our family. Unfortunately, that meant half of us still didn't get to eat the food we requested. In addition to the food being left out of the order, there were no napkins or straws and none of the sauces my wife requested, WHEN ASKED, were included. She called the restaurant after realizing the order was incomplete and was told, by a clearly annoyed employee, that her name would be "added to the board," so that she could get the rest of our order the next time she visited. No apology or any other compensation was offered. All that said, the food at this location is never great. The roast beef is chewy and poor quality, the curly fries seem to always be the scraps from the bottom of the tray and a lot of the time, everything is cold or room temperature, even when we've stayed to eat inside. Read moreThe prices are getting a bit steep, but I understand the local employees don't set the prices. The service and food here has always been good but that was not the case tonight. The guy running the drive thru acted very rushed to start with. I had to pull over and wait which isn't a big deal. When my food was brought out, the girl who brought it out basically shoved the food at me without saying a single word, and we didn't even get all of our food. Apparently the car in front of us had the same problem because as I was walking in to get the rest of my order, they were walking out with theirs. The guy working the window acted very rude when I told him about the missing items said "I will get you your fries" in a snotty tone and acted like a kid throwing a temper tantrum, tossing empty fry containers on top of the fries when he couldn't get them separated. I reached out to take the bag because I had the impression he was going to just toss the bag on the counter. Again my food was basically shoved at me without a word and he stormed off toward the back of the kitchen. It was a very disappointing experience and I wont be likely to return anytime soon.
