Food was superb. Atmosphere not so much. Music was great. Two in uniform on the clock employees sucking face 3 inches from me trying to eat my meal not so great. I'm sure theres a broom closet somewhere for their nooner. Sword fight between the broom and the dustpan might have been semi entertaining. With everything thats happened in the past couple years the last thing i want is to watch you try to make a baby while also making my food. Could have even over looked the chick laying on the counter talking non stop to who ever was actually working. Appeared to have 6 employees and one worker. Got the "soaked" roll which would have also been fantastic IF it would have actually had anything more than a speed dip. Lots of potential just need a bit more sanitary practices enforced. To many people looking for jobs to staff a bunch of people wanting to hang out in the lobby. If they weren't on the clock i command them for the minimal tasks they did do while not inside each others face. $25 for 3 hotdogs isnt as nice when you see the people supposed to be running the place rolling on the floor. Prices are high because people need a pay check. Way to high of a price to pay for a hotdog when the funds are for people not working. The whole 4 tables are just to close for that...
Read moreDon't bring kids here. I almost brought mine in, but only by chance decided not too. The SECOND I walked in, I started hearing real loud female "pleasure" moaning from a movie they had on the TV. And then constant f-bombs and swearing of all kinds from this movie. The movie was Ted.
I don't have anything against swearing or adult movies, but what if I had brought my kids in or someone else did? Maybe I missed something somewhere that this place is meant for adults?
The food, to be fair, this place is known for hot dogs.
I instead gave the Italian beef a try and....it was not good. And I'm truly no picky person.
The juice was okay, but the meat tasted very bland and dry.
I would give this place a 1 star if not for the gentleman at the register who was nice and helpful. But because of the cook, however, he seemed like he could care less about customers, or at least acted that way towards me.
Atmosphere was decent - reminded me of a typical Chicago weiner place.
Maybe try the hot dogs...or maybe skip it...

Fun name. Delicious food.
While exploring Bloomington-Normal one day, my friends and I came across Windy City Wieners. First, we chuckled at the name but then decided we should grab some lunch there.
Firstly, Windy City Wieners is located in a pleasant place location in Normal. It’s near the Amtrak station, the street it’s on has lots of little shops to browse. There is a parking lot to park nearby so you can walk around and visit shops.
Now to the food. My friend Matt and I stopped by for food. It has been a few years, so I don’t recall what I had. But I do know it was delicious. So good that I wanted to order another dog or two. Matt also enjoyed his meal and wanted a few more dogs, too.
My memory may be a bit foggy, but I do remember the friendly staff and how delicious the food was.
Conveniently, they have 2 locations, so if you are in the area, you have 2 choices of where to get some authentic...
