The food is interesting but is not worth the chance of having to interact with such a rude worker. He was likely a manager of some sort, but was hostile both on the phone and in person.
My needs were simple - to get decent food for my family during a road trip. I wanted to order food in advance to make our stop efficient, but this employee seemed to find the concept personally offensive. He questioned the concept over the phone after I had already placed and paid for my order on their site and suggested that the place was so popular I shouldn’t expect to get a table when we arrived. However, the place was nearly empty.
The guy tried to hassle me in person but fortunately another staff member took over and offered us seats. Things were okay after that but jfc it was not worth the drama.
Update: I was sent an automated survey invitation shortly after my visit and used that to let management know about my bad experience with an employee at the restaurant. The owner reached out a few days later to apologize, refund my order, and even offer a gift card for a future visit, assuring me that they were going to address the issue.
They didn’t mention my public review here but I wanted to add this experience to my initial review. Though it doesn’t invalidate my review, I do think it is a good sign that the ownership appreciates honest feedback and wants to improve the service at...
Read moreABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! literally the worst pizza I've ever had since I was a kid and ate pizza from Denny's ( yeah the breakfast place) The wife wanted to try something new so she ordered and I drove her to pick it up. Idk how much she spent and I'm scared to ask. I wouldn't eat their pizza or wings again if it was free. Tiny little wings with no meat and they were dryer than a cotton ball. I'd rather eat a bowl of cereal with no milk before I eat another wing from here. Little Caesars blows this place outta the water. Pizza was small ( not sure the wife paid attention to the size when she ordered idk 🤷🏻♂️) pizza had very little toppings and had maybe one "good" bite before it turned into burnt crust. I'd rather eat an overcooked Jack's pizza instead of this. I should've gotten a picture to post but we started eating in the car on the way home and after attempting to eat one slice then biting into another slice I ate two wings and it was so terrible as soon as we turned into our apartment complex I threw it in the dumpster and went to DQ. I don't even have the words to describe how bad this place was. Idk how long it's been open but surely it won't be open for too long. Only thing keeping them in business is probably the fact that it's located on campus so drunk college kids are...
Read moreDecember 22, 2023 - We visited Pizza Payaa for the first time. The food, service and atmosphere exceeded any expectations. The entire meal was 5 Stars all around.
The motif was a unique blend of pizzeria, sports bar, and club. The tables, chairs and furnishings were both sleek and comfortable. The lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar was quite appealing with a well stocked variety of adult beverages.
The staff was great, to a person. We were warmly greeted, seated immediately and provided with menus and personal recommendations. Throughout the meal the staff checked to see if we were satisfied or needed anything to make our meal pleasing.
The food was the best of all. The drinks, appetizer and pizza were out-of-this-world. Our shared starter was Parmesan and garlic Brussels sprouts. They were nicely charred and tasty. Our main course consisted of Fun Guy, Three Cheese With Basil Pepperoni and The Fig and The Pig pizzas. Each was pizza was delicious. The crust was magnificent. It was thick toasted crust, yet airy. My favorite was Fig and Pig. The drizzle of fig jam was a great enhancement to the flavor.
The entire family enjoyed the meal. We will return soon. I highly recommend...
