Went in on a recommendation. No hot mustard for egg rolls. Deal breaker. Didn’t order anything else and left. A “Chinese” restaurant without the most common of condiments. Willing to try again after they figure out that .10 cents worth of hot mustard would have earned them a customer and a $100 meal ticket. It’s the equivalent of a Cajun restaurant not serving Tabasco, or a hamburger place without mustard or Ketchup. Come on….
Update: Based on the owners response below, I will tell everyone I know to avoid this restaurant, and those who have eaten there and been disappointed to give honest reviews. This includes many of my employees. This “restaurant” needs to learn the lesson of “the customer is always right”.
The proper response should have just been: “No problem (since a can cost under $2, and will serve many) we will get some in. Please give us a try again.” I would have been back this week with a family of 6. I would also probably have been a regular customer, since I love Chinese food and enjoy it weekly.
Conversely, this owner chose to insult me, create an enemy, and cost themselves any future chance of getting business from me or my family, and the hundreds of university colleagues I work with who ask my opinion of local restaurants, since I am a 40+ year Norman resident.
Instead of giving this restaurant as a recommendation, I will be actively telling people to avoid it. All of this due to the owners terse response. The owner just traded $2 and a terse response for literally thousands of dollars of future business. When a simple acknowledgment of the issue and an invitation back would have resulted in resolution. Doesn’t seem too smart.
Good luck. You’re going to need it
BTW: this condiment keeps forever and can be mixed up in 5 seconds by serving staff on request. There...
Read moreI came in on for a uber eats delivery and liked their setup, then when I picked up the order it smelled really good too. A couple of weeks later I came back with my wife for a dinner date, and we were not disappointed. The server was great and so was the food. Everything on the menu looked delicious and seemed very fair priced, I had a hard time deciding what to get. The portion sizes were very generous too, I only ate about a third of my food and got to save the rest for later so again, very reasonable on the prices especially for nowadays. Plus I didn't mind hanging out in here I actually liked the atmosphere when I first walked in, but was sold when I smelled the food. I had to come back and get me some. We were there for probably under an hour and saw about a dozen to-go orders being picked up so it seems like the secrets out, or I'm late...
Read moreTop 3 best Chinese Restaurants in all of OKC and surrounding area. One of our friend's mom came to OKC from China to visit, and upon landing, we took her to this restaurant. After tasting the food, the mom said "This is great! The restaurant owners in China need to step up."
Be warned they are not joking when they say spicy. The food always tastes great and the portions are very generous. Even when I go in there starving, I usually leave with a to go box. Our favorites are the spicy tofu, spicy chicken, grilled beef (non-spicy for the kids) and green beans.
Though we get take out at least twice a month from here, it really does taste better sitting inside. I've recommended this place to all my co-workers. And now that I'm writing about them, I'm starting to get cravings again... I'll probably have to go there for...
