Apollo Mediterranean Greek Food — Restaurant in North Bend

Way back in 2017, I was in Portland on a small trip, and I went to the famous food truck circle in the middle of downtown. I remember passing by a gyro food truck, and, not having had a gyro before, I passed and went on to get chicken teriyaki from another stand. Boy, that was a mistake. I saw people walking by with a gyro and knew I had to try one, but I had already eaten my lunch at that point. I knew I couldn't settle for a gyro any less than that of the legendary food truck quality, so I waited.

A few years passed and Apollo Mediterranean opened. I saw they had gyros on the menu. And for some reason, I knew this was the place. I went in, ordered a lamb gyro with gyro fries, and after trying it, I was sold. Since my first visit here, I have gone to plenty of other restaurants to try their gyros, and not one comes close to the fantastic taste and quality that Apollo Mediterranean offers. The Gyros were awesome! And the Greek fries are a definite must try! So happy to finally have this available in the North Bend area. Now when I get one of those cravings I only have to go about 10 minutes to satisfy it. The Gyros were loaded with meet also they didn't skimp on it at all! Plus the guy was extremely friendly and very nice. We tried to go during a time when it wouldn't be too busy which was nice the only downside is the restaurant doesn't have a ton of room for a crowd and I expect to see this place get very popular I had the traditional ones my son tried the chicken both are very flavorful and seasoned well. Food was great, service was great - however: I wasn't told there was a charge for using a card until after I looked at the receipt and asked about the extra fee. Not a huge deal but it irked me enough to knock off a star. Altho the server was good, I thought it was tacky and kind of sneaky of the restaurant in general to charge a fee for using a common form of payment, then hope you don't notice or something. I just feel I should have been made aware before making the choice to pay with a card rather than cash. I may or may not go back, so not sure about recommending. The food...
