If you find yourself in North Bend for the night - keep driving or sleep in your car. Better yet drive 10 minutes up the road to Issaquah even if it is out of the way. ||||We paid nearly $90 USD (tax included) for the night. Room was reasonably clean as one would hope with any motel albeit the light switches were black with grime and shower had some mildew build up. For the price there were zero amenities, no shampoo, coffee maker, hair dryer or other. The window was screwed shut and most of the TV channels did not work. We found out that many of the guests are extended-stay residents and we saw what appeared to be a prostitute paying one guest a visit. ||||Finally, the worst part of the room was the bed. The King size mattress dipped in the middle and when we sat down it virtually bottomed out. The only way to stop the springs from squeaking was to hold your breath - no exaggeration. We did not sleep a wink. ||||Glad to hear there is a large national chain opening in North Bend. Small business does not deserve to stay in business when the owners are too cheap to supply their guests with...
Read moreFor $96/nt you get a clean bed and clean bath... I've always wanted to visit this place for years but was always leary of its Bate's Motel look ... what draws you its views of Mt. Si, its location at the heart of downtown North Bend (Twin Peaks for those who know... Hence the logo of the "Sunset" behind the "Twin Peaks" ;-)
Amenities include microwave and refrigerator, lots of really good clean water (some of the best in Washington State... It's a little musty so if you are allergic to mold you will suffer (my girlfriend suffered, but I was fine).
The room was on the second floor and had great views to wake up to :)
The room was quiet with no road noise, dark with the curtains closed, bright with them drawn. Bed was soft and comfortable. My body doesn't hurt and I feel rested the...

Upon entering my room, I was surprised to find that the door was unlocked. After doing a walkthrough to ensure that I was alone, I checked the bedding. The blankets are very old with holes burned into them and covered in black stains. Only one of the lamps works, the plunger was in a grocery bag in the corner of the bathroom, and the carpet looks like it’s never been vacuumed.. I won’t be sleeping with any blankets tonight and it’s pretty ridiculous that I have to do that at a hotel. 10 outta 10 will never stay here again. I have no clue how there could possibly be any good reviews...
