Mastrogiannis Distillery & Winery — Attraction in Lakewood

Tricky to find (unit B10) but well worth the effort. Friendly, family-run place doing small-batch distillation from wine and fruit. Owner Elias had a distilling run in progress yet was happy to give us the tour and a tasting. The barrel aged brandy is impressive, the grappa is amazing, and the ouzo is unbelievably good. My wife and I had a lovely time here, the staff was receptive and engaging, the seating was very cozy and inviting, and the drinks were unique and interesting.

I enjoyed all the brandys on offer, and was surprised that I enjoyed the hazy syrah the best. The Manhattan I had (pictured) was so good I bought a bottle of their house-made vermouth.
