The food here is always good, the menu has a great deal of variety, the prices are competitive. You can get everything from side dishes to entrees to bento boxes. I'm pretty sure I've sampled everything on the menu. ..
My most recent visit was less than a week ago. Along with my family, we ate chicken teriyaki (both plain and breast only) Udon, salad, beef short ribs and, of course, rice. All freshly prepared and served up quickly. Everybody cleaned their plates (or bowls).
It's in a strip mall. it's not fancy, but it's not austere, either. It's clean and inviting, with plenty of seating. You order and pay at the counter, and they bring it to your table. I believe the woman who works the counter is the owner. She's always pleasant and helpful.
This is one of those places where you know that everybody -- even picky kids -- can find something they like. The prices are reasonable.. I also like the fact that there's usually a current newspaper on the counter for your...
Read moreStopped by on the way back from Seattle. What a lovely place! Would have been looked over if we had not taken the time to find some place other than fast food.
The place was clean, plenty of parking, chairs and tables to sit at, welcoming atmosphere and staff, and of course the food: delicious!
We got a chicken teriyaki bowl to share with gyoza. Gyoza was that perfect kind of crispy without it being too oily. Chicken was cooked excellent, some fatty parts but that's to be expected. I prefer teriyaki over soy sauce so the gyoza was eaten with the tasty teriyaki as well.
We subbed fried rice and oh boy it was surprisingly wonderful. It seemed like fresh rice that was fried but I have never been able to get my fresh rice tasting that good. Because we took it to go, the rice was in foil so the oil started to pool at the bottom but I've had that happen at other places. Such a great flavor and not like any other place I've frequented. Wish I was closer to enjoy more often and try...
Read moreFirst time here. Passing by (on our way to SEA-TAC from Yakima) and wanted lunch that was not a national chain - like all the other place at this Interstate Exit. (Did not want Mexican - which we did see as another option). The food here was WONDERFUL!! Great price and fast service. I wish we'd found this place earlier in all our trips over the pass.
Three of of ate here - were all full, and everyone liked what we had. I had the beef, my wife had the chicken. Both moist and tasty. All LOVED the salad. Price (including drink and tax) was just over $30.
Separately, we even bought a bottle of their salad dressing and it was a hit with the other 7 members of my family in Kansas City wewere flying to see.
WE WILL...
