Buzz — Restaurant in North Bend

Look, my family and I love Buzz, the food is some of the best in town, when you can actually order. Hence the 5 stars. But there has been an issue we've noticed the last few months with them closing early randomly and this really hinders the experience.

We work till about 5 and will sometimes call around 5 - 5:15 to place a pickup order. Seems reasonable when a business is open till 6, right?

There is one employee who, when you do this, will essentially try to discourage you from ordering. "You can only place a pickup order if you can be here in 10 minutes".

When you go to pick it up within the time window given and the food isn't ready, she won't let you wait inside the business, she moves you to wait outside. Mind you, this will still be well before the closing time. This hasn't happened only once, but multiple times to multiple people we know.

Recently, we arrived at about 5:15 PM on a Tuesday and ordered. All the chairs were picked up inside and after walking around the mall waiting for our food, we were told we have to wait outside for them to bring us our food. We couldn't even stand inside for the last couple of minutes to grab our food.

It wasn't a dead day in the mall and we weren't the only people there. The employee also made an elderly couple wait outside for their order who seemed very happy standing there, chatting and waiting.

When we sat to eat in the open mall seating (since we weren't allowed in Buzz) a group of 3 (presumably tourists) were amazed by how good the food looked and asked us about it as well as what time they close. I could only say, "well they're supposed to be open till 6." With a shrug. They excitedly went in to order around 5:35ish, and were turned away even though the employee just took her friends order and allowed her friend to stand in the business and chat while she waited for her food.

When those 3 ladies walked out we heard them say "Wow, what kind of business won't serve you while they're still open?"

I guess we assume this is the employee setting these unusual closing hours because the owners seem so nice and seem to really care about their customers and this one employee seems to have an attitude disguised with a fake-friendly tone. it's super off-putting.

Some other things we've noticed from her: refusing to sell sides, or charging others for sides that are supposed to come with the meal for free, refusing to make certian things when its after 5 PM such as fish tacos. In addition to having an attitude when you try to get food within the last hour of the business being open. I know some people who say that if they call and she's working, they'll hang up. Her fake-friendly tone is that recognizable.

Whatever is causing this issue, be it the employee or something else. I hope you're able to correct it. It's obviously impacting perception of your business and will sometimes make me think twice about choosing you or some other place. Sometimes the feeling of not being wanted there is enough to make me say, "You know what. I don't want to deal with...

I’ve been here about 10 times and it’s very much hit and miss the last two times over this weekend. I went there twice because I’m responsible for feeding my mother-in-law every day and she wanted tacos on Friday and I got her those and they were way too spicy, even though I said mild and the beans with the beans and rice were like water. They were very embarrassing. You shouldn’t ever serve beans that are so liquidy. It’s weird and then the second day, Saturday, 15 November when I went there, I was first in line in ordered in five people were behind me. All five people got their hamburgers before me and I’m sorry it took so long. I did not get an. I’m sorry I did not get an apology even though I had been first in line please do not ever ever ever order food. Here you will unequivocally be...

Update: This time they were out of fish for tacos, they gave us the wrong drink, gave us someone else’s order, then closed a half hour early so I couldn’t order a burger to go….They had chairs up on the table to close a full hour earlier than closing so we had to eat in the mall area. Very disappointed this time.

We haven’t been to Buzz in years but thought we would stop in when we saw they moved to the outside of the mall. We weren’t disappointed! The food was ON POINT. The BLT didn’t look like much but easily one of the best I’ve had - and I’ve had a lot. The boyfriend tried a fish taco and a carve asada taco and liked both! He also ordered an Ultimate burger (pictured) and said that if this place had beer it would be complete. 😏...
