They do not accommodate pregnant women. Me and my family came to watch elemental as the kids were begging to see it. I am 37 weeks pregnant and I cannot sit with my legs bent that long so us being the only ones in the theater I put a sweatshirt on the back of the chair in front of me with my calves on it so my feet were raised. I was not harming the chair in anyway yet an employee came in being very rude saying that I am destorying the chair and needed to put my feet down. A 200+ lb person can sit in the chair with no harm but 10 lbs of my legs resting on it damages it. I went to talk to the manager about the fact that I cannot sit like that and she refused to make any exception or accommodation saying it is company policy not to put your feet on the chair. I can understand people pushing on it with their feet putting their shoes on it or disrupting other guests with their feet up but none of this was happening. I am not one to make bad reviews but their attitude was way out of line and now I cannot finish the movie with my kids without risking a blown blood vessel, severe pain etc. Since when do businesses not make accommodations for medical reasons.
When I went to talk to the GM about getting a refund as I could not sit there she basically accused me of lying saying that no other pregnant woman has ever needed to put their feet up. As if every pregnant woman is the same and we couldn't possibly have different medical needs. But after saying this multiple times insinuating that I am lying she made sure to say I'm not saying this isn't the case with you but NO other pregnant woman has ever needed that.(for the fourth time) Like she is aware of every pregnant woman that ever came into the theater.
I was refused a refund despite the fact that I was never aware or informed of this rule being company policy and acting like I should somehow be aware of this. Instead I was only given another ticket 🎟 for another day even though I do not live here and will not be able to use it. Completely unaccomodating of everything and now I must sit out in the car in the heat so I can keep my feet up while I wait for my family to see the movie the kids wanted so badly to see. This is my first time in a theater since pre covid and I understand now why they are all going out of business. This was absurdly ridiculous and again I am usually a very passive person who let's thing go and doesn't make waves but the entire thing was so inappropriate in my opinion. I'm sure many a time they have made accommodations for medical reasons but their refused in this case when there was absolutely no reason for it to...
Read moreTonight I spent 40$ on a large drink, and popcorn to be ignored while ordering from the staff that should have been assisting me. Then completely ruined while I had to sit, and watch their sorry excuse for customer service. Aleshia who felt the need to give me 99 cents change instead of letting me give her the penny I had in my purse. Your lack of active listening skills, and flat out rudeness was absolutely appalling. You ignored me multiple times while ordering the food that pays your wages. To top off the night the last 15 minutes of my movie was interrupted by Heather a 50 year old woman on a mission to throw some attitude at someone in the theater of a total of 9 people watching this movie. When Heather came into the theater she immediately started talking at people loudly, and rudely telling people who had their legs crossed to take their feet off the seats. Mind you its the last 15 minutes of the movie. Even if their feet were on the seats its a chair, and its the last 15 minutes of the movie. Heather then ran away, and hid when she was confronted by the people she has been rude to in the theater. Im not sure who the manager they had come try to resolve their issue, but before leaving hearing the saddest excuse of their refund policy. Which is apparently they dont offer a refund after the first 30 minutes of a movie. Hmmm. Interesting. Understandable it is a rule of theirs, but as someone who has worked customer service since the age of 13, its absolutely bewildering to have watched how rude, and horribly this situation was handled by all of the employees. Will not be going back, and I truly hope if they hire new people they dont need to go through six weeks of customer service training to be able to speak to the people paying your wages with respect.
P.s update your theater its not worth your concession pricing, and...
Read moreSince when is it the job of a movie theater to question my family dynamic! girl with short hair and a ring through her nose....My son and 2 adopted boys. We're taken to the theater by my daughter who is 18 to watch the new dragon slayer movie I think its called..I am the parent and approved them to go. I understand they needed adult permission. My daughter turned around to go back to show her license to say it was okay. They asked if she was related and she said yea im related to him pointing at my son. She didn't lie..the lady at the counter said sorry she can't let them in without permission from their guardian. They called me with the predicament. I drove all the way from marshfield high school so that my boys could watch the movie. I walked in and said I was told you need adult permission yet my daughter is standing here as an adult. She said I need their parent. I said excuse me. I am their guardian. That is where it should have stopped and they should have been let to watch the movie. But this girl pretty much wanted my papers to show I was their guardian. Who the crap are you?? The authorities??!?!? I think not. My boys are not of the same skin color. But who are you to question that....pony village cinema do better..this girl needs a lesson in what is acceptable to be questioning.
P.S. there was another set of kids going through the same thing moments after...
