I am new to the area (I’m a Jersey convert… sorry Brooklyn!!) and always notice this cute place when I visit the park. I’ve always wanted to go but I’m trying to lose weight and I’m on the keto diet (sorry but no keto options here).

Well my grandmother was visiting me so I finally decided to have a cheat meal and cheat treat it was!!!! 🍦 It was delicious!!!

It is pretty expensive as far as getting ice cream goes but the quality and texture was absolutely perfect 👍. We love getting the soft serve ice cream. I’ve tried cherry 🍒 dipped cone, vanilla sundae with hot fudge and pineapples and the Italian ice! There were all marvelous!!!!

When I saw that it is a young girl and a little bit older woman working behind the counter each time we visit… it seems like it is a family business and I don’t mind spending a little more to support their ventures. The young lady was extremely kind and friendly every time we visit. It’s hard to find kind young souls these days and she’s a gem 💎 in the rough. Very sweet family, they can have my money!!

I always get something for myself and for my grandma while she stays with me for a few weeks and now it is grammas favorite place to go!!!!

UPDATE: THURSDAY, APRIL 13, 2023, 5:54PM: I did not notice any changes. But I noticed and absolutely appreciate the continued deliciousness of the ice cream, and the continued service with a smile.

I have known about the Dairy Cream ice cream shop for years. However, I do not spend too much time in this area. But, since I was on my way home from James J. Braddock Park, I stopped by for a vanilla ice cream on a cone. The lady who served me had lovely energy and a lovely smile. She knows how to provide good customer service. I love McD's mcflurry, but there is always something wrong w their ice cream machines and the topping option is also pretty limited. This swirl is very similar to a mcflurry but there are more options to choose, from oreo, reeses, to cookie dough. Not only is the candy mixed with the ice cream, they also add a lot on top as well.
