Hide and sweet — Restaurant in North Bergen

First time I came here a nice sweet French man attended me but the second time a young girl with not the best customer service attended me. It’s not that she was rude but I felt like I was bothering her with me being there. I asked for a coconut matcha cloud drink (which is delicious) and she says they were out of coconut and matcha. So I ordered the taro boba drink and she gave me the drink without a lid or straw and I was like ok? She saw I was confused and said oh straws are overhere but in a lazy tone. Then I asked for a lid but the lid wouldn’t fit, I tried another and nothing. I didn’t want to ask for help but I had no choice. I also tipped her and I regret that. When I called to ask for a specific French cake with strawberries (and it was not the season) Anthony said let me talk to the Chef and they ended up by saying yes ! Thank you so much and it was just delicious, not to much sugar, no extra cream so merci beaucoup!! Today we tried a chocolate one : the 3 layers with chocolat genoise, hazelnut insert and chocolate mousse are just crazy. Thank you for bringing France to us ! The baked goods are definitely a 10/10 fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The coffee, however, could use some improvement; they serve iced coffee instead of cold brew, which isn’t quite the same. As for customer service, it could be better. The girl at the counter often seems to be in a bad mood, which makes the place feel less welcoming than it could be.
