Gong Cha Bethesda — Restaurant in North Bethesda

Placed an online order and specified "no ice". Both drinks had extra ice. Love the bubble tea and all the options available usually, but there was not a single customer in the shop when I went in and they still didn't get the order right. The bubble tea itself tastes great and I love that you can pick sweetness levels.

The customer service here is also odd; every single time I've gone in, I've been ignored by the staff even if there is no one else in the shop, and I've had to pester them in order to place an order. It always feels like an imposition. It's not enough to put me off coming, but it's not great either.

I ordered online at poki dc which is connected to gong cha, so I added the milk foam green tea to my order - it tastes nothing like green tea. The drink tastes more like chamomile? Regardless, it’s pretty awful. It is also very cream in color, with no hint of green. I called gong cha and they did nothing to help. I’m an avid green tea/matcha drinker.
