I want to be honest; this is a nice place. However, the problem that led me to give it a one-star rating is that I can't even sit outside on the patio without somebody walking by just standing here holding a sign asking for money.
I'm not against helping people who are in need, and I also care about my community. But the issue I have is that Montgomery County, Maryland has many resources to help the homeless and those in need, as well as those who require assistance.
Another concern I had was the lady who sits in front of the CVS. As I mentioned earlier, Montgomery County has programs and resources for women with children who need help. The fact that she's using her child, dragging them out into harsh weather conditions like heat, cold, and rain just to panhandle, is a problem I find troubling.
In short, great shopping center but I stay away because the rampant panhandling is so off-putting. I would advise anyone who goes there to...
Read moreOverpriced goods at a strip mall where the luxury look is only skin deep. Absurdly home to the only grocery store I've ever seen here with no bike parking. Can't find a bike rack anywhere. Shoulda just gone to Aspen Hill: Can't get there as safely, but at least I can lock a bike up.
Made it there anyway? If you hang out outside you're still confronted with the same sea of cars. Ugly from the inside looking out, so why linger?
Underutilized space in the rear makes the overflow lot look and feel just like the loading dock area at any random strip mall. Time to bury a parking lot and create some more livable greenspace to make a $15 bagel run feel worth it.
Really only the bagels keep me stopping here. One star for the bagels, one star for the thoughtful pedestrian access. Everything else leaves me feeling unwelcome and questioning why I...
Read moreThere are some great stores and restaurants in this area. I really do like the selection. And the location is great for the locals. It is also nice being next to the newly installed bike lanes.
However the parking lot is atrocious. It fills up very easily. The traffic is very bad in the lot and often dangerous due to the layout of where cars are passing through. Pedestrians crossing everywhere and people always park and quickly run into a restaurant all the time in the no stopping lane so it causes traffic jams. There are signs posted saying not to do that but they do it anyways. Drivers can get really aggressive in the lot.
The lot could benefit from a major redesign to optimize traffic patterns, pedestrian crossing, and space layout
Update: lot still filled with traffic and entitled people....
