A hidden gem worth discovering! I had such a lovely experience at Jinlan Wenhua! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming- the space is clean and beautifully decorated, with a gorgeous mural and beautiful seating that made it feel really special.
The customer service was truly outstanding. The owner personally came out to greet us and chat, which made the meal feel even more personal and memorable. You can tell they care deeply about their food and their guests.
The dumplings were incredible- so many unique options! My favorite was the chicken and basil, but the pork and chive and crystal shrimp dumplings were also packed with flavor and super fresh. Don’t miss the scallion pancakes either- crispy, savory, and delicious.
Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great dumplings, kind people, and a peaceful place to...
Read moreWhat a cute little place. The owner waited on us and she was delightful. She made conversations with her guest, and that is how we found out that the mural on the wall was painted by her daughter, a high school student...very impressive. We ordered Bulgogi pan fried dumplings and Pork Bao Buns. The food was delicious. They serve mainly Dumplings, Wonton Soup, 4 different kinds of Bao Buns, and have a lunch Dumpling Special for $16.99. Will have to go back for Dessert sometime to try their little fish cookies stuffed with custard, or their Mochi Ice cream.
EDIT: They changed their menu. Now includes many entrees like, General Tao's Chicken, Eggplant in brown sauce, Mongolian Beef, and Hunan Chicken. We tried the Eggplant and the Generals Chicken and they were delicious. Some items were taken off the menu, like the BBQ Bao Buns, and they will be missed, but happy with the...
Read moreProbably the worst meal I had for a while. The eggplant dish is cloyingly sweet - just imagine a notorious Americanized Chinese dish that had done poorly. The chili oil wonton dish has the portion size of maybe a regular lightbulb, and also the flavor of a lightbulb - which does not exist. The sauce is maybe soysauce with no chili at all or anything else notable. The shumai cost about $3 for each and probably is the least bad - there is some kind of flavor - which is tons of white pepper. Lastly, the pan- fried dumplings took 30 minutes to come out when we came past meal time and there are only 3 tables. The dumplings are soggy and bland. The sauce again seems to be watered down soysauce. Again, each dumpling costs about $1.8 including...
