Sadly, there is no authentic Mediterranean staff in the restaurant. I only heard them speak Spanish. Haven't seen Mediterranean looking customers either, which normally means the place would not serve genuinely authentic food. Indeed, I found the food to be so-so. Meats were ok, but already lacking the proper aroma Mediterranean food like kabob should have, whick for me means the staff deviate from the authentic recipes. Rice is not cooked right for a Mediterranean eatery. Salads are blandest possible with just lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions with some generic white sauce or dressing. Imagine not even a glimpse of ethnic sauces on the tables - only ketchup and the cheapest tasting one, I must say. I know we are coming out of the pandemic, and food service establishments got hard hit in the past 2-3 years, but you really want to try harder and think how to help your business strive. Also, for a regular menu item I ordered to go, I had to wait for it for 25 minutes, whereas the cashier promised me that it would not be more than 15 minutes. The day was not busy, and there were probably 5 customers sitting at the tables and nobody waiting for a pickup. I have seen a couple of people coming in to pick up their online orders, but still, the day was light (Tuesday lunchtime early August), and there were at least 3...
Read moreGreek salad was fair, although basic. It was probably the best thing on the menu based on what I saw on the other customers trays.
The Kashk-o Bademjon (baba ganoush) was served in a Styrofoam container that was just pulled out of the microwave. It was cooked to the point that the bottom of the Styrofoam was melted and the contents were dripping out of the bottom of the container onto the tray and table (and luckily not my pants... How do you get melted Styrofoam out of your clothes?). It tasted horrible, I only had one bite and I don't like to complain so I just left it on the table. I don't know why they heated it up, maybe it was a mistake. FYI, I have called DART in the past for confirmation, and NO! THOSE CONTAINERS ARE NOT MICROWAVE SAFE!!!
The pitas were microwaved as well, so was my friends gyro meat. It looked slightly more tender than beef jerky, but only slightly (unfortunately not an exaggeration). I normally don't write poor reviews, but this place needs to step up to the plate. Rockville pike is a mecca for good food options.
The unsweet tea was not terrible, although it wasn't exactly great either - I just don't want to be...
Read moreNot going to lie the food was good but what’s the point of getting some good food when you can’t eat in peace. The customer service here is so bad busy or not. Theres complete silence in restaurant when dining in one of the workers was cleaning the tables that had absolutely nothing on them for him to clean and as he’s doing that he wouldn't get his eyes off every time I looked to see my boyfriend would also mention how he wouldn’t stop starting at us while we eat this is so unprofessional due to the fact he got even closer to do nothing but stand in space and try to get our attention at this point I’m not sure what’s wrong with because he didn’t bother asking if we needed anything or if everything was ok while eating in. This experience was worse in person than how Im explaining it to be. I don’t wish bad upon these people but that’s very unexpected and unexcitable to do. This gave me creep vibes and weird energy so I decided to leave because there was no way of me finishing the food without having him staring the whole entire time. If you ask me what kind of seduce is this ? I’d say go see...
