Brunswick Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in North Brunswick Township

When I first walked in I really thought I was in for a treat. We were promptly greeted with warm smiles and welcomes as we approached the counter but the proverbial buck stopped there. The majority of Pizza joints have specialty pizzas that sit out all day, this place was no exception. Only the pizza looked terrible by 3pm and the inflated prices were not encouraging.

Our order consisted of a cheese steak, hot wings (7), and a chili dog. One would think these items would be hard to muck up. Not the case here. My cheese steak was atrocious and I am hard pressed to find why they even bother to put it on the menu. Oh wait, thats right, its because suckers like me come along and order it.

Any one remember the "Wheres the beef?" commercials, this place should adopt it as their slogan. I forget how big their 1/2 subs are but there was only enough meat to cover less than a quarter of the bread, so I basically paid for a cheese sandwich. I am sitting there eating my cheese sandwich when one of their own comes out from the back kitchen to eat his lunch. I felt like a fat kid at diet camp looking at everyone else's plate wishing it were mine. This guys sandwich was over flowing with meat. It was the kind of sandwich that looked heavy to pick up. The kind where the meat is just pulling the bread apart and its all you can do to keep it together. The kind of sandwich that is a battle to get in your mouth. It was the kind of sandwich I wish I was served.

You would think with a less than stellar delivery with the cheese steak we would have something to look forward to in their wings. After all, everyone orders wings and it is typically the corner stone for most places, right next to the pizza itself. Again, not the case here. I'll spare you the long diatribe and just say the chicken was liek the cheese steak. Watered down, tasteless and left you wanting something more.

We haven't tried their pizza yet and I can't say that we will, but when it comes to everything else I'd advise you to...

December 2021: If I could I would give 0 stars. My mother watched the restaurant be built from ground up. My family and I have been coming to this place since I was 1 yrs old. However, I stopped by and brought some food and used the restroom with my mother and my nephew who is a child. I took 4 extra napkins and the male owner freaks out and comforts me. He says that I’m stealing, begins to argue with me and tells me too go to the store and buy napkins. He tells me that for people like me he needs to lock the bathroom and pass me two napkins to teach me a lesson. He said that he needs it for his customers and the female cashier says the same and that I need to put the napkins back despite that I’ve already touched them during the pandemic. I put the napkins back per request. Overall, I was treated like I came in randomly took a napkins, as if I’m taking from his business without input. I will never spend my money here again, I don’t recommend you to spend your money here. You aren’t treated as a customer there you’re treated as a money provider for the restaurant. 0 stars.

Jan 2022: long time customer with no issues with the food itself. I have done pick up and delivery orders all completed in timely manner. This evening however was the first time that I inadvertently did not hear the knock from the delivery driver nor did I have my cell phone on me as I was carring for my toddler. When I noticed the missed call I called right away. The owner or older man usually at the register berated me right away with insults. Call me irresponsible, said that I don't care about the time I'm wasting because I'm just sitting at home waiting for the food while the delivery drivers out there wasting gas. How many times do they have to call me? What's wrong with me? I apologized and I said sorry that I missed the driver I am home but my apology wasn't enough. He continued to berate me another five plus minutes on the phone non-stop. I asked him why is he talking to me this way as a customer that made a one time mistake. It was horrible!
