China 1 — Restaurant in North Carolina

We order from here only a few times a year. We ate hear about 3 months ago and the food was really bland. My wife ordered beef and broccoli. It was loaded with onions. She said it was ok but not really good. Both my son and I ordered Genaral Tso's chicken and it was, well not terrible. Well tonight we decided to try it one more time. My son ordered sesame chicken, wife ordered peppered steak with onions and I got bourbon chicken. My son said his was okay, not as good as it used to be. My wife said hers was very bland and loaded with onions. I understand that it was peppered steak and onions but that does not mean it should be 2/3 onions. And then there is the bourbon chicken. Not sure where they got the interpretation from but it is wrong. Chicken was coated with sauce but it was not bourbon. Loaded with peppers and onions. I have eaten takeout bourbon chicken many times from many places and this had me thinking they mixed the order up. But we always get chicken fried rice with the combinations and that was correct. Living where we do there really is not another alternative when you want Chinese. That being said I will never go back. Was going to call and ask for something else, but after reading the previous reviews think I will toss it out. It's not worth the gas or effort. Place really went downhill. If you want Chinese just go to Greensboro or Burlington don't waste...

I have lived in this area for a year now and I was so happy to find a Chinese restaurant similar to the one I ate at in Charlotte, NC. The food was always good, the service definitely could use improvement. The public is patronizing year restaurant, you could be more polite. This is one reason I stop tipping them. As far as the food is concerned, I ordered my usual Chicken & broccoli in garlic sauce with fried rice. I wish I could give a negative star... the food was horrible. The rice was not fresh and salty. The egg roll was so Greasy, I could have used the oil to fry a pan of chicken. There are better Chinese restaurants in the area and China 1 you just lost a customer. Shape up! You need to get better chefs and your staff needs a friendlier attitude! I will no longer recommend...

This place used to have some of the best Chinese food. When I went to the location today, I was excited to order my family’s favorite dishes. When I got home and bit into the shrimp egg roll, it tasted like sour cabbage. I then tried the Triple Crown and said surely this is still good. No, the imitation crabmeat was the most not imitation crabmeat taste I have ever had yuck. The food was just not palatable. I called to voice my concerns and was told well it’s imitation crabmeat, that’s what it tastes like as she/manager raised her voice at me. I do not recommend this place to anyone anymore.
