I am absolutely in love with this place! Not only is the overall atmosphere clean and light, but the coffee, food, and service is fantastic!
I love the seasonal drinks they come out with, experimenting with different flavor profiles!
The decor is a modern minimalist style with a strong theme of nature brought in by the bare wood textures and the many plants draped, tucked, and displayed throughout the shop. It is such a comfortable space, even though I tend to like rustic, and a bit crowded themes, it really lends to the clean and relaxed atmosphere. The sound of faint music, trickling water, and open light makes it feel almost spa-like. The light and quiet peace make it a perfect place to read or work on my illustrations. Free Wi-Fi helps as well.
The coffee is rich and made fresh for each cup you buy. They have an assortment of flavors (try asking for “Bev’s Latte” when you go, it’s my favorite, a cup of Jo with the spirit of a cinnamon roll) I highly recommend any of their “toasts” which are more like sandwiches missing their top slice of bread. (I recommend the avocado toast highly! Or a savory chicken salad toast for lunch).
Last but not least, the folks who own, operate, and run this place are the most wholesome and good-natured people you’ll meet. This is a family owned company, which means when you come in, they start to know you. I can’t tell you how many times I go to other corporate-level coffee joints and “Beth” is on my cup. Every customer is just another fistful of dollars for the company. This is not just another corporate-owned coffee place selling you low grade coffee dressed up with syrups and sugar at an exorbitant price, this is a little slice of peace, filled with plants and friendly faces. People who are actually grateful for your business, because it helps put food on their table. A true treasure, a “sanctuary”, just...
Read moreSanctuary has become one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. It is the perfect spot to read a book and relax. Their coffee is wonderful as you can tell the baristas take take their coffee seriously. My coffee is always consistently good and they even do a discount if you bring in your own mug. Near register they have a little retail section where you can get “Hatchet” beans from boone. I’ve used these beans several of times and there always wonderful. The workers even ask if you would like them grinned and will grind them for free at the setting you like. Above all, Sanctuary deserves all the hype due to their great coffee, great atmosphere, and great...
Read moreMy time here was brief but peaceful and relaxing. i spent around two hours doing some remote work on a monday midday. Foot traffic was minimal and it made for a perfect study sesh spot. the coffee options are suffice and i kept it simple with a chai latte with their brown cinnamon sugar syrup. it rly brought out some of the notes in the chai and if by some chance you think the spices in chai are a bit too harsh, i recommend you get my order. it’s a small shop so seating can be limited but that wasn’t the case for me.
overall a cute shop that i’ll for sure come by again. good wifi good parking and a perfect atmosphere for...
