Raz Drive Thru Coffee — Restaurant in North Carolina

I was at RAZ waiting in line, I was speaking with a friend that was also in line. I walked up to the window and asked if it was drive thru only. The male attendant said yes, go ahead and order though, but next time wait in line. (The whole time I was there only 2 vehicles went through) I replied that I had been waiting in line. He said “buy your coffee somewhere else” I walked around the building to say goodbye to my buddy at the window and let him know that I was planning to buy his coffee. Same attendant opens the windows and has a few more choice words for me. Long story short RAZ lost 2 first time customers this morning. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and doesn’t treat everyone like this. I never raised my voice. You lost 2 customers. Like I said, I asked if you only did drive through. My first time in, I ordered two of the tastiest cappucinos I have had in a very long time. I gave one to a friend, and she was as gobsmacked as I was by this beautiful creation. If a coffee shop gets espresso right, everything else becomes possible. Considering what I experienced, I feel compelled to go back for the espresso. I might have jumped ahead too far and should double back and start from the beginning. Raz is also a genuinely friendly person. When you enjoy what you do, you care about the quality of your work, and that shows in a myriad of ways; that love comes out in the end.

Update: the espresso is delightful. Raz uses Cooperative coffee which is jam packed full of flavor without any bitterness. It's earthy, bright, and strong and makes me think of a fantasy life in a fortified compund in Cuba surrounded by beautiful women in...

This is hands down my favorite coffee in Asheville! Their iced caramel latte is perfection every single time. smooth, never burnt, and perfectly balanced (not too much milk which is huge for me & not too sweet) You can tell they really care about their craft. I always ask for a straw with mine and the owner already knows to go head and give me one every morning. It’s the little things lol. Every sip is chef’s kiss!
